Such fun and so well organised! We were well briefed and assisted when necessary but otherwise encouraged to just go for it. Great weather and interesting ocean conditions helped.

We did the half day sea kayak tour today and it was simply stunning. Started out from a calm bay with pristine water before heading out on the open water. Our guide was AMAZING, so friendly and knowledgable. The scenery was spectacular. You will love the time you spend on the ocean with this crew. Some specific thoughts: - booking was easy and got call and text the day before confirming all details. Start/Finish points vary to make the most of any forecast weather, but the entire coastline is spectacular so it won't matter where you go - the Team at Region X really know their stuff and the local area, they are really professional - the equipment is first class and you're guided through everything you need to know - this tour is REALLY accessible, the kayaks are super easy to use, stable and the team ease you into it so even if you have no experience don't let that put you off. The half day tour was pretty easy, nice stop along the way for a swim, always felt safe and in control, never pushed or hurried. We might have to come back and do the whole day tour. I spoke with RegionX a couple weeks out from being in BB as I was on my own. Josh was very responsive and engaging and promised to get in touch on my first day in the area to discuss options based on other people also attending. He was true to his word, so I could plan the rest of my week. After reviewing weather and sea conditions, he chose Thursday as the pick of the week... and it certainly was. I felt included and valued and had a fantastic experience - seals, snorkelling and kayaking through rock channels were definite highlights, as was the piping hot, brewed coffee with a fabulous morning tea spread (much needed after the early start). Thank you - this was everything I expected and more. I'd do this again in a heart-beat!

Today I completed another half day sea kayak tour and it was excellent again. The tours are well organized, equipment feels safe and sound and staff is knowledgeable and lovely. We had great weather, and the coastline and the sea looked amazing. A bonus were the dolphins that accompanied us for a little while. Thanks guys, see you again one day.

The outstanding tour guides made this half day trip a wonderful and educational experience for our group of young and (slightly) old. The team at RegionX are wonderful ambassedeurs for their region and its flora, fauna and natural wonders. Josh and Troy are very friendly, knowledgeable and safety conscious. The morning tea and snorkel at "Nightmare Bay" was a highlight! We are all looking forward to the next tour soon!

A wonderful kayak tour overall! A bit bumpy at the start with an email bouncing back that resulted in us arriving late, but the tour guides were super accommodating and easy going, which set the tone for us in having a great experience despite the minor drama. We were also the slowest kayak to start with as this was our first kayak experience but again the experienced guides were helpful and built great rapport with us. We eventually got the hang of it though and cruised to second place on the way back. The stopover, morning tea and snorkel were relaxing and heaps of fun with great company all around. Many thanks!

Very happy to recommend Josh and his team at Region X for the half day tour we attended. Summarising: - The original day we booked was unavailable because of numbers (minimum 4) and we didn't want to take up the other activities. However the next day we were contacted by Region X and they advised there was another availability and would we still like to try it which we did. The weather was cloudy which was actually perfect for the kayaking. - We met Josh at the beach for introductions and a quick lesson on how to use the double kayaks. It's definitely a shoulder work out but we were able to use the kayaks easily. - Paddled for an an hour 10 mins, had a super delicious morning tea break with fruit, cheeses and cake and hot tea. Was able to snorkel during the break and while the visibility wasn't great, I was glad to be in the water. - Back in the kayak and paddled for another half an hour to the other side. Josh was super friendly, confident and supportive to our situation. He also took photos during the day that they gave us for free which was a appreciative value add to the tour. Definitely recommend doing the activity and would happily try out other tours! Great work team.

The tour guides were great, and understood that some people do have fears of the ocean. They took us into a beautiful cove with crystal clear waters and a lovely view. They talked to us about the different ecosystems and other stuff like that. They made the day very enjoyable. 5/5 would definitely recommend.

Did the half day sea kayak with josh and warick and what a great experience it was for a first time kayaker! We were given clear instructions prior to starting. We kayaked on beautiful unspoilt waters, navigated through rock formations/caves that are otherwise inaccessible to the public. The highlight was morning tea where we were able to snorkel at secluded spot, enjoy the views and savour a generous spread of treats with tea/coffee:) Excellent knowledge and expertise demonstrated by Josh Will definitely be back! :)

What a great experience - everything was fabulous. Our safety was paramount, the equipment top quality, the scenery was breathtaking and the morning tea was yummy. A must do experience.

This is my second kayaking experience with Region X and it was excellent AGAIN. Great guides who are welcoming and very experienced. Will be back again soon.

We have had the pleasure of 4 sea kayaking experiences and each has been great - most recently it was the half day tour. We have found all instructors to be very professional and friendly. The food provided has been delicious. We’ve always been given some interesting information about the area we are in and always felt safe and well supported. We’ll be back.

If you're looking for a socially distanced staycation adventure then look no further! They provided us with directions via google maps to the starting point to make sure we didn't get lose. All the gear is provided including dry bags and spray jackets. Out on the open water with nothing but fresh air we were on the lookout for sealife and were lucky enough to spot a mink whale. We had some breaks on the water for snacks which was delicious dried mango and chocolate. Josh was always patient with us as my sister and I weren't the strongest paddlers, thanks Josh! At morning tea snorkelling gear was also available for anyone who wanted to go for a dip and another delicious spread was provided. Would love to do another kayaking trip with them :)

The kayak tour was fabulous. Josh and Amy were extremely professional and highly competent tour leaders that ensured we were all well equipped to operate the sea kayak confidently and safely. We kayaked from the beautiful Guerilla Bay to Barlings Beach visiting a Seal colony and sheltered bays along the way. Josh and Amy explained the tides, sea life, landmarks and the bird life as we travelled along the shoreline. There were plenty of little rest breaks along the way culminating in a beautiful morning tea before we completed our tour into Barlings Beach. Highly recommended. A group of 12 of us went on this tour at the end of a week celebrating finishing uni, even though it was winter the weather was sunny and warm and the seals and whales were out! It was an unreal experience, going through rock channels, surrounded by seals and stopped off for some snorkelling with a bunch of cool fish and Port Jackson shark! The morning tea was way above expectations, with a fruit platter, cheese platter, cheesecake, brownies and hot drinks. The guides (Josh, Angus and Will) were unreal, making sure everyone was confident in the kayak before heading out but then giving us the space to explore. Couldn't recommend more, great value!

A great adventure with the kids! Great service, advice and guidance, couldn't do something like this without the guides and experience. Loved paddling with the seals and the remote cove where we stopped for lunch and snorkelling!

Absolutely incredible morning. Loved every second! Wish we had more time to experience more of what the gorgeous area had to offer as we were blown away from the picturesque coastline to the delish cheesecake and super friendly and helpful staff. I can't wait to be back in the area to try out another one of these tours!

We had the best morning! Josh and his daughter were excellent guides and really knew the area well. We got to swim with fur seals, we saw dolphins and a had an easy paddle out on the ocean. We had morning tea on a little beach after our swims with the seals - delicious cheese, vegan cherry ripe slice and fresh fruit, along with coffee, a selection of teas or hot chocolate. My boyfriend and I both agreed that it was a morning to remember! Definitely recommend it to anyone who is thinking of heading to Batemans Bay.
