From the moment we arrived on the upper deck, the food wine and service was terrific. Matt the skipper and Euan and Noah looked after us. We saw a seal, dozens of playful dolphins and a few cautious whales during our trip. The day was sunny and cool. The swell was negligible. The food was exquisite and generous. Highly recommended.

10 out of 10 for this cruise. Saw more whales than if we had taken a whale watching cruise!! Beautiful scenery, lovely friendly staff and the lunch we had was excellent - box lunch. Captain was very informative and took time to stop for us to whale watch. Would thoroughly recommend this cruise.

My fiancee and I went on the cruise to help celebrate our engagement and loved the experience. The staff were very friendly, caring and funny. A shout to Erin in particular who was fantastic. It was a bumpy ride at points which was fun and anyone on the boat who wasn't feeling well was looked after by the crew. Highly recommend!

Fantastic cruise along the rugged coast line out to wine glass bay. Seas unsafe so didn’t make wineglass bay but we were treated with up close the magic coast line. The staff best we’ve experienced so lovely, friendly and ensuring everyone was ok. Food fabulous overall fabulous day made magic by the crew. Thank you

Knowing how the weather can make or break a trip out on the water we were very lucky to jag a great day with mild winds and only a bit of chop. The cruise operators are very professional and clearly enjoy their work. We opted for the Vista Deck with lunch included and thought that the $20 lunch was good value. Thrown in for extra value were some whales that are making their way along the coast and all in all it was a great day out to remember.

Wow what a pleasant surprise! So glad the old bloke at the Swansea servo gave us the brochure for this trip. Very caring staff, they would often come and check on all of us to make sure we were ok. They even offered us natural blackmores ginger tablets at the start of the cruise. Lunch was definitely worth the extra $20. Dress warm and do this day trip! Awesomely put together guys, thanks for a great day out!

The wineglass bay tour with super amazing as we get to explore the beautiful East Coast, granite rocks, white-sand along the beaches and bay, as well as some cave formations and lovely seals on the Refuge Island! The trip was perfect because the down-to-earth team memebrs on board are very caring, knowledgeable, professional and bubbly - which makes the entrie tour more valuable as you get to learn lots about the history and environment from their sharing. The captain and crew member was professional throughout and makes you feel very safe on board, and enjoy yourself lots more! The crew member even offered to take pictures for you which was very thoughtful!, Another reason the trip was perfected with the fruitful, fresh and well presented lunch which we purchased as part of the cruise ticket! Very much worth it because you're enjoying the lunch by the beach - lovely sunshine, clear ocean, and just listen to the wave were therapeutic... The 4hrs+ trip cannot be better honestly! Overall, I highly recommend the tour to anyone who enjoys some quality time with the nature, no internet, just ocean, national park, rocks that are all very magnificent and picturesque :) I will definitely join other tours with the Pennicott Wilderness Journeys with friends and family to explore Tassie! Support Tassie business!

The weather was not good from the start which is no fault of the Tour Operator. We were told up front that we may not get to Wineglass Bay and perhaps we should have given it a miss then. I am not sure if the tour should have been cancelled as it was really rough and we felt that it wasn’t enjoyable for us. On such a cold trip a warm drink would have been nice as the lunch was cold but then we’re no hot drinks onboard. Really all we saw were seals and then went over to an island where it was bone grating there and back which the vessel going up on the waves and crashing back down. The captain did his best but it wasn’t what we signed up for and would have been better cancelled as it was a waste of money for us.

We chose the Sky Lounge option which was just perfect. We were looked after by wonderful staff in Skipper Ben & Noah(who was just brilliant even if he was a bit of a trickster). We were very lucky to have time watching 3 whales who came right up to the boat it was just amazing to watch these glorious creatures, and then there was the large pod of Dolphins. Food was amazing and so was the local wines that were on offer. Floating around Wineglass Bay eating our lunch looking at the amazing scenery just made the day perfect.

This was a very windy departure, but the boat size made that fairly comfortable, and once we crossed to the ocean side, it all changed into a beautiful sunshine journey. A few stops along the way to take in the coastline and beaches, a very enjoyable cruise

Great day with informative, friendly staff. We were on the boat during the off peak season so had plenty of room to sit where wanted to see everything and could relax. Saw fur seals and some amazing scenery. Perfect weather

Staying at the lodge, booked at the lodge and picked up at the lodge jetty. How easy ! . We had a great day, excellent weather and great sightseeing. We we're looked after so well by Ewen on the upper deck (my wife didn't want to get off) who made sure we had plenty to eat and drink all day and provided lots of valuable commentary. We booked the upper deck (more expensive but definitely worth it). Because of a small number upstairs we could sit out the back in the sunshine for a great lunch anchored in WG Bay. After having a crap Covid year in Melbourne this day was just what we needed. Well done captain and crew, we will be back again !

What a marvellous day. Great cruise for all ages. The boat was perfect and the crew excellent. The sights of wineglass bay and the Freycinet Peninsula were breathtaking. Thanks so much to Capt Matt, Andre, Willow and Ewen for the best day of our holiday.

Wes F July 2021

This is a great cruise experience, spectacular granite cliffscape along the eastern side of the Freycinet Peninsula south of Wineglass Bay, excellent crew, and a great ploughmans lunch. Well done Pennicott Wilderness Journeys. Thanks to Erin and Euan, and skipper Matt. Highly recommended, but take warm clothes if you go in Tasmania’s winter, it was about 12 degrees today. If you dress warmly you can outside for most of the trip.

We had a great day out with Wineglass bay tours. Very friendly and informative staff who were attentive and knowledgeable - they even took the time to fish someone’s hat out of the ocean! We were lucky the wind gods allowed us to get into Wineglass bay, which is absolutely stunning. Great tour to do while in Freycinet. It can get choppy when you’re out in the Tasman, so be prepared.

If you only did one thing in Tassie l suggest it should be the Coles Bay Lunch Cruise on the upper deck. Eat drink and cruise for 5 hours with ‘Captain’ Matt at the wheel and ‘First Officer’ Ewen in charge of food and drinks distribution. Morning tea delights, amazing lunch ( didn't need dinner ) and open bar. My wife is fussy with her oysters, drooled over the lunch oysters. Ewen kept coming back. We wandered in and out of the lounge at our leisure, stood up front and chatted with Matt in between his microphone announcements to our lounge and the other deck below re the history of the many visual highlights and his expertise in locating the migrating Humpback Whales . Ewen should be a stand-up comedian, brilliant lounge manager. His very funny instructions on how to put the safety jacket on set the tone for the day. As an experienced diver he also has great insights into the marine ecology of the area. Also tap into Matt's years of diving experiences and the range of sharks he has 'met'. Whale searching and seeing was a hoot, seals lazing on the rocks and penguins popping up in the water. Sensational scenery.

Fantastic experience first class service and food. Captain and crew where extremely courteous and knowledgeable.Erin in particular was so helpful and kind she is an asset to the company. Thanks Again

Michael T June 2021

My other half and I thoroughly enjoyed this half day cruise and the service was of a very high standard. We received a phone call the day prior to advise that the weather conditions may not be favorable for Coles bay, so an alternative route would take us instead to an island inhabited by hundreds of seals and bird colonies. To experience such a large number of animals and birdlife in their natural environment was very special and the commentary provided of this region was first class. Tip: rug up warm, as it was so cold.

Some tours are oversold. This one was absolutely fantastic. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the cruise and the service was first rate. The whole tour was something I would highly recommend.

Gary_C June 2021

The tour was very good but be very careful not to deal with Viator, if you are an Australian, because you get charged an international transaction fee, even though you are Australian, and paying an Australian company. They did not respond to my request asking how this occurred.

What a special day! So worth being in the Sky Lounge - everything on hand and treated like royalty. Fabulous company. Amazing scenery and wildlife - albatross , sea lions etc. Thank you for all for making this such a great trip
