Traveling with experienced naturalist guides, you'll search for kangaroos, wallabys, platypus, wombats, koalas, and many other animals in their native bush habitat, only 90 minutes from Sydney. Hockeybo February 2020

Great trip! Saw many Roos, emu, wombats, birds including kookaburras! John was the perfect tour guide. A good lunch and dinner are included. Long day but passed quickly.

We attended this tour in February 2020 and it was one of the highlights of our vacation. Instead of being brought to a tourist park or a zoo this tour took us with a very small group of people into an adorable town for lunch, Then off in search of animals In their natural habitats With a stop at the historic local pub for dinner. The food was fabulous! It is not guaranteed to see anything but we were able to see probably over 100 kangaroos, 5 Emus, and 13 wombats. Many of the animals come out at dusk. John was our guide and we found him energetic, enthusiastic, very kind and entertaining. Very beautiful scenery and so much more exciting to find the animals in their natural habitat then stuck in a small enclosure at a zoo. Thank you boutique tours of Australia!

an awesome way to see the animals and things you won't experience in the city. Pick up and drop off points were limited so check into that. Our driver was on time and friendly. We saw more animals closer to dusk as it was very hot the day of our tour. We enjoyed seeing the kangaroos, wallabys, wombats and emus. We even saw a joey go in the pouch! Spot lighting at night for wombats was definitely a first for us. Our tour took us the Bee and Bear cafe along with the Surveyor General Inn in Berrima both were unique and well worth the visit.

Great to do one time if you never did it. It worths so much to see animals in their natural space and not in a zoo. You are ensured to cross kangaroos, wallibies and wombats on this tour. Very low chance about koalas and platypus, feel very lucky if you do.

Our guide was very friendly and outgoing but this trip is a huge rip-off. She drives you 90 minutes away from Sydney into a thickly wooded area to view wildlife. Then she has everyone get out of van (on a cold blistery day) to look for Koalas in the trees. She knows that there are no Koalas in those trees. On our so-called nature walk she was pointing out spiders on the ground...We didn't come here to look at spiders, but nice try on keeping us occupied.. Not one Koala was seen on the entire trip. We did spot many kangaroos and Emu's running around the woods which was fun, but enough is enough with the kangaroos. The tour guide also drives real fast when wildlife is spotted then slams on the breaks. I almost broke my neck to see a damn kangaroo. The hearty country dinner is simply a very thin sandwich with a tea. I was still hungry after dinner. Then comes night driving to spot wombats. Please spare me. This was a huge waste of time looking for wombats with a flashlight. We did see one dead one on the side of the road. Big woop. This expensive trip is a huge waste of hard-earned dollars. You will see more wildlife at the Taronga Zoo and are able to take many pictures with the wildlife there (including Koalas). Don't throw your money away on this boring tour.

This tour was perfect. I’m so glad I did it! We saw tons of animals: 3 adult emus, 2 emu chicks, countless kangaroos, 2 wallabies, 2 foxes, 5 wombats (my personal favorite), a few water monitors, a skink and a plethora of beautiful birds. Our guide, Chris, was a wealth of information. He knew so much about the wildlife and did an excellent job teaching our little group about Australian wildlife. He also graciously answered questions about Australia in general. Highly recommend this tour!

we were picked up on time and spent the day searching and finding wallabys, kangaroos, Koalas, parrots and more after dinner a night time run produced more animals including many Wambats. A long day but well worth it...

This tour started our time in Sydney and was better than we imagined. A nice 4WD Mercedes van picked us up, we had an ex-zookeeper guide who knew her stuff, had excellent lunch and dinner meals and managed to see almost every animal we were hoping for. Our guide Zoe had excellent eyes and could see things we couldn't, animals camouflaging with their environment. She tried her hardest to get us into the best position for photos and didn't rest until we were happy. A long day, 11hours, but well worth it.

We weren't too sure what this tour had in store for us - we have done wildlife tours around the world where sometimes you see zilch. But that wasn't the case for this tour! Our amazing guide Zoe went above and beyond, literally, to find us every native, introduced and farmed animal found in this region. She was running through the bush, climbing cliffs, crossing the river and pointing out some of the most amazing animals we have every seen! Kangaroos (with babies!), wallabies (with babies!), wombats, possums, platypus, lizards, spiders, a huge variety of birds like cockatoos, parrots, emu, kookaburra, native ducks, ducklings and even owls! We saw foxes and rabbits, deer, cows, horses and foals! We didn't see a koala, but this tour still surpassed our expectations. All thanks to our guide Zoe. She was waiting for us when we came out of our hotel, and immediately made us feel comfortable. She was friendly, warm, charismatic, and a wealth of information! So knowledgable about everything we saw, there wasn't a question she couldn't answer. And she didn't hesitate Googling it if she had to - it seemed like she got a kick out of learning and experiencing this tour with us. She was definitely the highlight of our tour. THANK YOU ZOE!

What a great adventure we had with Boutique Tour guide Zoey and 6 other travelers from UK and US. It was a long day out to the bush and back, but the time went quickly with the informative and fun commentary. We didn’t see a koala or platypus, but we gave it a good try! We did see lots of kangaroos, wallabies and beautiful birds and lots of baby “Joeys”. Our group was probably the most excited to see the wombats after dark! Highly recommend this adventure, ask for Zoey! She’s amazing!

We booked this tour on our first day arriving in Sydney. What a way to start our vacation! Our guide, Miranda, was so full of energy and excitement about her job that it was contagious. She brought us out in the bush where she pointed out lots of wildlife, including kangaroo, possums, wallaby, ants and lots and lots of birds. During the tour we stopped at a quaint little town for lunch and then later for dinner and drinks, both of which were tasty. We also had time to do a little shopping in the town before we headed back to Sydney.

Our tour with Sydney boutique wildlife tours was phenomenal! Scott, our guide was a wealth of information on not only wildlife, but Australian history and aboriginal culture. It was a cold and windy day (much colder then the city, so be prepared!), but we still managed to spot a koala, emu, kangaroos galore, wallabies, wombat, platypus and two types of possum! Wow!Lunch and dinner were delicious! It was a long day for my 7 year old, but she had a fantastic time as well and is on a continuous hunt for the next koala sighing! Thanks Scott for the fun and educational day, we had a great time. Highly recommended!

Andrew S August 2019

This was an excellent experience. Our guide Scott was professional, prompt, knowledgeable, kind and funny. We saw all kinds of wildlife--koalas, wombats, wallabies, kangaroos, emus, a platypus!!! and numerous birds. Way better than any zoo or wildlife park experience. At least for this traveller and the very nice two other families on the trip. Good food at the pub at the end of the day. Highly recommended! Thanks Scotty and I did find the earrings!

Kim M August 2019

The tour operator was very professional, contacted me immediately when I booked online. I provided the wrong hotel address (darling square vs. darling harbour), they went out of their way to pick me up. The guide, Zoe, was the best I have experienced. She was knowledgeable about the animals and their habitat. We learned more from her than I have from a zoo and we were able to see the animals in their natural environment. Zoe was energetic and dedicated to making sure we saw every animal we could see - she did not disappoint! We were able to see over 200 kangaroos, close to that number of wallaby, emus, wombats, 2 koalas and a Echidna! She spotted the Echidna, got out of the vehicle, found it after it ran off so we could see it up close and personal! The food, scenery and drive were wonderful as well. I am excited to recommend this tour, Zoe and the operator! You won't be disappointed!

We went on a tour led by Zoe, and it was terrific. Zoe was extremely knowledgeable and we learned a great deal about the wildlife (and Australia more generally). Our group loved the whole day. (As a side note, the food that was part of the tour was quite tasty.). This is an excellent way to see Australian wildlife. Highly recommended!

We had a great time on this day trip from Sydney. Steve was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information about the history of the area, as well as the native plants and animals. In addition, we learned about invasive species and what they have done to the country. It took a long time before we saw any wildlife, but finally we found some kangaroos. We also saw a wombat, some wallabies, and a couple of possums.

Victor R July 2019

We had the tour with Steve on July 4th. The tour was incredible and the guide was really amazing. We saw a lot of wildlife, the guide was funny, really nice and full of information, the food was amazing and the complete experience was my favourite time I had in Sydney!

Dusty M July 2019

We went on the Wildlife in the Wild tour in June 2019 with Zoe as our tour guide! We loved all aspects of the tour - Zoe providing information on the animals and background information on the area during the drive, lunch at the restaurant on the way, searching out and finding all of the amazing animals, and dinner at the pub on the way back to Sydney! We were able to see many animals - Kangaroo, Koala, Wombats, and more! Zoe was amazing and we loved this tour - highly recommend!

TabithaM July 2019

Before coming to Australia, I read that Koalas get stressed when around people. We are not much for zoos anyway, but I didn't want to come all this way without seeing one. I booked this tour with hopes we'd have some luck, and the tour did not disappoint! Steve was a fantastic, very knowledgeable tour guide. We saw lots of kangaroos, wallabies, possums, and wombats, and after a bit of searching Steve found us a koala. Once I saw how solitary these creatures are I was very happy I opted for this tour rather than a wildlife park or zoo. The food was good, the ride comfortable (and the van has spotlights for spotting wildlife in the dark!), and the small group experience was just what I wanted. Highly recommended for those who prefer to see wildlife in their natural environment.

We have been all up and down the east coast of Australia, and taken five different wildlife tours and nature excursions. This was by far our favourite. We were fortunate to have Zoe as our guide. Zoe was able to find every animal that was on our list of ‘must see’ in the wild. We drove about an hour south of Sydney and started travelling down local roads. We quickly come upon kangaroos and a wide variety of birds. After a quick lunch we saw more kangaroos and were on the search for a Koala. Zoe warned us that Koalas are sometimes difficult to locate because they are solitary animals. Within about 15 minutes of entering the eucalyptus forest we found our Koala! Zoe was well-equipped and had binoculars for us to use and a wealth of info about how Koalas live, and the Eucalyptus trees they ate from. It started to drizzle and Zoe was ready with nice raincoats. After taking a bunch of photos we continued our trip and located emus running free, more mobs of kangaroos, and wallabies. It was getting dark and we were now on the hunt for wombats. We quickly located one, and got pics of him. We found another and shot about 50 pictures. Zoe warned us at the start of the trip the finding wildlife can be hit or miss. However, her expert local knowledge and information about the animals ensured a fantastic trip. Five stars is not enough for Boutique Tours and our guide, Zoe!

EbonStaar June 2019

Excellent tour with a highly dedicated guide that allowed us to see Australia's wildlife in their element. Only warning would be that it's a long day with a small group, so while you avoid crowds you may get the unfortunate dice roll of someone slightly insufferable in the group, which you can usually get away from on larger tours. That being said, I would highly recommend for the experience.

Richard_S June 2019

This excellent wild life tour is worth the money. We saw perhaps 50 plus kangaroos, wombats, opossums, a pack of emu's, more wombats, many birds, and even a very rare an unusual albino deer! The tour especially gets exciting when the sun goes down and the animals come out for night.

Debi s April 2019

My tour with Zoe was the best I have ever done. We found kangaroos, koalas, wombats and so much more in the wild, in their own habitat. There is nothing like seeing wildlife in its own surroundings and having the excitement of the find..please know this is a real wildlife tour, not a petting zoo. Our superior tour guide couldn’t have been more informative, enthusiastic and organized to make our entire tour a once in a lifetime experience. Thankyou Zoe

_dcchapman April 2019

And incredible experience seeing native Australian wildlife in their natural habitat. Mercedes four-wheel-drive pics you up at hotel. It is about a 1 1/2 hour drive to the sites. We were able to see a koala, in numerable kangaroos and wallabies, two wombats, various opossums, numerous birds, and to top it off some flying foxes. This tour extends from the afternoon until the evening, as the wombats are nocturnal and best viewed after dark. Included in the tour was a delicious lunch and a very good dinner at one of Australia’s oldest pubs. The thing that made this tour extraordinary was the quality of our tour guide Zoe. Her extensive knowledge, friendliness and enthusiasm about these animals made this one of the best tours we have ever been on.
