Wowee! Our tour was guided by a lovely human called Jill, who was knowledgeable in all wild-life, plants and local history, which kept the tour exciting and engaging. She picked us up and returned us after the tour from our accommodation which was extremely helpful. Jill took us on a bushwalk through the wonderful Conway National Park and started with a trek through the Wompoo (what a name) circuit. This trek is roughly 5km return, with a lovely creek, small waterfall, some awesome vegetation and beautiful wild-life. We saw Goannas, Spiders, wonderful birds and even got cussed off by a wild pig! The trek was quite short with light intensity, however, there was some mud, loose gravel, fallen trees and some pretty wild weather which reminded you why it was called a rainforest. We stopped and had a large lunch spread, fruit, wraps, drinks etc (even a hot chocolate!). After this, Jill took us to see the great and wonderful waterfalls; easily accessible from the car park, long-drop toilets and change area, swimming and a natural back massage if you're brave enough to get close to the fall. All in all, this was a wonderful time and a fantastic opportunity to put your phone down and get up close with nature. Go wrestle a wild pig, go sit under a waterfall, it will do you wonders. If you decide to take this trip, I would advise you to bring good traction shoes, a change of clothes, a towel, a waterproof bag and a raincoat because you will get wet. All in all a great experience not to be missed!

I live in the Whitsundays, so I found this trip very informative as I learned so much about the rain forest that I didn't know. Our guide Alice was very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna and willing to answer any questions the group had. This was a really enjoyable experience all round with spectacular scenery, a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide and a friendly and cheerful atmosphere. Definitely recommend!!

Great guide, Dave. Good knowledge of the forest and his species. Will definitely recommend this tour.

This tour was a real disappointment than what we were expecting. Firstly it was soo hot that it felt like you were swimming in your sweat, this was compounded by the constant walking and trying to keep pace with the guide. The tour seemed rushed but also quite boring, the rain forest was nice however. After the walk the drive was quite scary as the driver guide was driving way to fast and dangerous on such a small winding road with steep drop offs on the side. The waterfall was disappointing filled with green water, slimy and slippery rocks and so many biting mosquitos. All totally disappointed.

Great walk through the rainforest which ended with an amazing swim in a waterfall pool that was so refreshing after the hike! Our guide Gus was very knowledgeable about everything in the rainforest and we got to see some unique flora and fauna along with birds and even a toad. Highly recommended for those coming to Airlie Beach who want to see more of what makes up the region. And again, the swim was fantastic!

Time and money well spent! If you love nature then you’ll love this. The day started with a beautiful walk through the rainforest and ended with a picturesque waterfall and a swim to cool off. Our tour guide, Dave, was fantastic with expert knowledge in everything along the way that far surpassed any expectations we had. Definitely a must do activity!

Loved this tour - learning all about the rainforest and local area from the very knowledgable and great tour guide, Dave! The tour ended with a refreshing swim in the creek and a lovely lunch. We really enjoyed getting to know more about the local area. Thank you for all, couldn’t recommend the tour more!

We booked the Absolute Airlie tour into the Conway National Park and were collected from our apartment by Alice and Jill. Both guides were really knowledgeable but were also interested in the members of our small group. There were five of us so we felt that we had a personal tour. Jill and Alice were good at spotting items of interest including birds, butterflies and reptiles. We also learnt about buttress roots and pioneer plants. The trip included a break for a snack by the river where kingfishers were flying. We drove out of the park to enter it again further along to gain access to a pool and waterfall. Here we encountered a small snake whilst eating lunch, but we were assured that it would not have caused major harm. The weather was cloudy, ideal walking conditions and the lunch provided was large and more than adequate. We had an enjoyable tour and it would be suitable for all ages.

Me and my partner went on this tour with tour guide Jill. She was absolutely wonderful and made this tour so enjoyable. We went to Conway park where we saw an abundance of wildlife and Jill was a fountain of knowledge about all the interesting plants and animals we can across in the rainforest. We saw Guanas, Ulysses Butterflies, golden orb spiders and cane toads! The walk was magical. We then went to Cedar falls swimming hole for a lovely lunch and a swim. Jill is a wonderful asset to you, make sure you book a tour with her!

This was a great experience for our final day in the Whitsundays. We learned so much about the plants in the rainforest, and saw so much wildlife. Finishing with lunch and a dip in the waterfall. Our guide Jill was very personable and full of knowledge... We thought she had been doing this for years, but it appears she'd only been doing it a few months... She's a huge asset
