Enjoy pick up at your hotel, cruise ship terminal, airport or anywhere that suits. Your private vehicle and local Sydney guide will collect you to begin your magic day trip out of the city. Depart Sydney to the south through Australia's oldest national park and along stunning coastal highways, with short stops along the way to soak in the views and grab a coffee if needed. Climb up the lush Illawarra Escarpment into the Southern Highlands with an optional stop at a private native animal refuge to meet some wallabies, kangaroos and wombats. Continue on through charming towns towards the towering Fitzroy Falls for a short stroll along the clifftops where we may spy the elusive superb lyrebird. From here we head through a perfectly preserved Georgian era township towards lunch which is usually at a fabulous boutique winery for fresh local cuisine paired with wines and a tasting opportunity to find out more about the local cool climate vineyards. Depending on timings we then either head on to visit another winery or into the charming town of Bowral to discover local cheese and chocolate. We then start our way back towards the city via a more direct route to have you back to the hotel in time for your evenings plans.

Scott thanks for the great day touring in Australia! I picked this tour becuase it got us out of the city and into some of the areas tourists don't usually get to go. I loved that it offered water and mountain site visits - and wine :-) Thanks for sharing all your knowledge of the area and entertaining us for the day. Would definitly recommend this to anyone who wants to see some of the hidden gems of Sydney area.

Scott makes everything easy. From the initial booking and follow ups he was a pleasure to work with. The perfect host for a wonderful day out around Sydney, He picked us up from our Sydney hotel right on time and then took us through what to expect from the day and asked if we wanted to tweak anything. Then we headed out towards the Highlands. Scott is very knowledgeable about all things Sydney, its history and the landscape. He gave us insights into every part of the city that we drove through with great detail on how the city was founded, grew and the prospects for the future. We wandered around the coast line taking in the various bays that are abundant in the area with Scott telling us the local history and pointing out the key parts. His eye for detail is good and he made sure we didn't miss the small things which you normally would pass over. As we entered the royal parks he told us about the various sites and animals, trees and flowers that we could expect to see and took us to some stunning views of the bays. Pointing out Black Cockatoo's, Lyrebirds, heron's and a multitude of other animals. He also told us about the local plants and how they survive in the region and deal with fires. The walk around Fitzroy Falls was perfect. Stunning views of the area and not to be missed. We skipped the wine and settled on a local pub for lunch. Great choice.....The Surveyor Inn. If you get the chance have lunch here. The we headed back into Sydney and Scott drove us around the back roads and into Bondi and the various beaches around the city. After that was a slow meander back towards the hotel taking in some brilliant views of the port and wharf from the heads. I would highly recommend Scott. He is relaxed, easy to talk to and has in depth knowledge of his city, its history and was able to answer all our questions about the local wildlife the environment and general life in Sydney. A great personality that will show you the best spots and keep you apart from the large tour groups.
