This is Sydney's only true 3 in 1 whale watching cruise. Including a city sights cruise with live commentary on Sydney's history both past and present, BBQ lunch and whale watch experience on the ultimate Sydney Harbour cruise. Relax while you see the sights of Sydney from the water as you cruise around Sydney Harbour and dine on a BBQ buffet lunch or breakfast (sat/sun only) served on board. Then head out into the open sea to go whale watching, pass through the Sydney Harbour Heads. Your crew will locate and provide informative commentary on the whales and their activity. These giants of the sea once nearly hunted to extinction, it is believed in history the humpback population was once as low as 200 whales. The conservation of these beautiful animals has led to the humpback population being at a safe level to avoid extinction. Numbers are restricted on this whale-watching cruise, with plenty of room inside and out for viewing in comfort on board your spacious sightseeing vessel.

Great experience in seeing whales (mother and calve) in there nature habitat. The trip was great value for money, well organized, crew were very friendly and the boat was spacious.

It was a great day but not so rewarding on seeing whales. It was end of season and I had stayed away due to Covid 19. The staff on board were great. The BBQ lunch on the harbour was great. The Jerry Bailey is a good vessel for off shore whale watching. Even though we saw 0 whales, 0 dolphins, 0 seals the windy choppy weather provided us a great day off shore and plenty of action on the boat with people not comfortable with the choppy conditions singing funny whales songs into their sick bags. The on board staff were so good.

We saw a mother and calf breaching multiple times from the water close by, then slapping the water and again some more breaches! We were very fortunate and it was a perfect hot day! The extra oysters we ordered were lovely and fresh! An amazing day and such good value through a groupon purchase!

The whale watching cruise was amazing. The crew were friendly and very knowledgeable. The lunch was delicious with a great range of food and because the cruise was 4 hours in length we got to see heaps of whales that were putting on a great show.

Boat was clean. Plenty of room. Whales and dolphins in abundance. Going to have to go out twice a year now.

We went for the whale watching and they delivered! Plenty of room to move around and take photos without others ‘vying’ for a position. Pleasant staff, delivering Aussie service in a typical friendly fashion. Four hours of enjoyment which even included a dolphin led exit from Sydney Harbour.

petermeagano October 2021

Great afternoon spent tracking a small pod of 4 whales. They all breached regularly and the crew kept close to them most of the time demonstrating a good understanding of the whales’ movements.

We had a great afternoon and saw many whales up close. The lunch provided was nice and overall, a great value for money activity.

It is such wonderful team! We received caring service since the booking. The food is good. Captain tried his best to get good view of wakes. Wakes are pretty cooperative, one of 4 jumped out of water! Amazing.

One of the best experiences with Oz Whale watching group. We could see so many whales that day. Thank you Oz for this beautiful experience. The customer service team was so friendly and rebooked for us multiple times during lockdown.

Had an amazing day out looking for Whales off Sydney Harbour. The crew were fantastic, pleasant and ever so helpful. The food was delicious. Skipper kept everybody informers on where to look and what was happening. We saw 2 whales and a calf. Even saw the calf breaching a couple of times. A great way to celebrate coming out of lock down. Thank you all.

Chunxia_J October 2021

It was a great experience for me and my family to observe the active whale. We also saw dolphin and seal.

vanessafR9466YG October 2021

The Captain found us about 6 different pods of whale all close by, it was fantastic. Saw one whale do a half breach right in front us and a calf played next to the boat for about 10 minutes while the mother stayed close. Yummy lunch, definitely take sea sickness tablets beforehand.

Thanks Sean and Clarissa. First day back out whale watching on the Jerry Bailey after Sydney lockdown. Such a relaxed cruise today with plenty of mum and calves and other whale pods. Lunch was delicious and my friends loved the whole afternoon

Wonderful afternoon, spotted many whales, a couple quite close up! We were very lucky, saw whales swimming, diving and breaching. Awe-inspiring! Very interesting & informative commentary about whales from Biggles who obviously loves whales and sealife. All the crew were fabulous and professional. We were told Oz Whale Watching does not use sonar to locate whales as that might upset or cause distress to the whales. Because of their knowledge of the movement of the whales we were still able to spot many whales and quite up close. The bbq lunch was fresh and delicious. Our family (husband, sister & brother-in-law) group enjoyed a unique and awe inspiring experience. Thanks OzWhale Watching.

Fantastic day. This is the fourth time I have been out wit OzWhaleWatching. They are the best! Saw an abundance of whales. The crew did their best to keep up with following the wales to ensure we were given the best experience.

margaret l June 2021

enjoyable trip saw whales and dolphins, friendly helpful staff, lunch was good, although difficult to practice social distancing when everyone trying to eat at the tables. did have a little difficulty locating the pier but that was probably because we were from interstate. Would go again if in Sydney again, recommend this tour.

Gary B June 2021

I had a Wonderful Day with Oz Whale Warching. The gentleman doing the commentary was very knowledgeable with everything to do with whales. The lunch provided was sufficient and tasty.I can understand why it is recommended to eat prior to reaching the heads. We saw plenty of whales and not too far from the boat. But far enough to ensure safe distance between us and them. They were breaching and frolicking about. It was a sight to behold. All in all it was a very enjoyable afternoon. All the crew were lovely and couldn't do enough for people. Highly recommended.

deniselam925 June 2021

Thank you to the entire Oz Whale Watching crew for the hospitality and care shown to us throughout the tour. The whales we saw were very majestic and the captain steered as close to them as possible while ensuring we were keeping a safe distance. He also provided us with very informative commentary so I would highly recommend this good value and wonderful tour!

TraceyLN01 June 2021

My friend and I were lucky enough to be on this cruise yesterday. My first time whale watching and I wasn't sure what to expect. It was the most amazing experience! Not only did the whales put on an incredible show, but our guide Biggles had so much knowledge and obviously loves his job. What a day ❤
