Gavin was very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the region. He pepared a great dinner for us in the midst of the desert as well. The sand boarding activity was fun. A day well spent!
Had a great day out - the Pinnicles desert is the sort of place you might never drive to yourself, but it was definitely worth the visit. The driver was part of the whole experience - he was very friendly without being over the top - he did everything from the catering to astronomy - even found a carpet python (non-poisonous) to show the travellers - it was a full day out and well worth the cost. One point to note: it was very clear in the description that you would cover a lot of miles, but it really was a long day's drive.
Well worth the journey. Pinnacles were incredible and we were lucky enough to experience a clear, starry night. Thank you Mick
It was fantastic! Our guide Gav was very knowledgeable, we did lots of activities, and the dinner was fabulous. Personally, I really liked that they minimised the use of plastic products for dinner :-) They even organised binoculars and telescopes for star gazing which was amazing! I'm so glad that I joined this tour. Thank you!
correct pickup, 3 interesting stops (wine-chocolate and coffee) , a scenic sight at the coast ans then the visit at the pinnacles : beautifull; our driver let an hour free for visit and photo's and prepared a very good BBQ with feresh salad, saussages in in iconic spot : we brougt for u 2 telescopes, binoculars for every-one and so we could enjou the amazing stargazing !!! really wonderfull; with all the help and knowledge from our gide : thank you
Very friendly staff.
Sand slider was so fun.
Night Pinanacles could see many star. Amazing. You should try!!
Blessed with great weather and clear sky during our visit to the Pinnacles from Sunset till dusk! Very experienced and knowledgeable guide who took great care of us, brought all the equipment and gadgets, allowing us to see plants and constellations via telescope and binoculars.
Wished we had more time slide off the sand dunes but still really contented with this tour :)
Fantastic great value tour from Perth to the breathtaking Pinnacles National Park with many interesting and enjoyable stops en route.
This tour company did everything to assist us and provided a wonderful experience with a trip to the swan valley and the Lancelin Sand dunes as well as nearly sunset visit to Hangover Bay.
The visit to the Pinnacles has been on our bucket list for about 30+ years and they did not disappoint
but to have a BBQ there just on dusk with a beautiful sunset thrown in was brilliant. After we had eaten Gavin opened up his telescope the heavens were available to be seen and admired.
We would like to thank Nat and Gavin for providing us with a big tick on our bucket list.
Coming from the UK the night before was a bit of a challenge with the jetlag but it was soooooo worth it! Gav knew it all. Was like our very own crocodile Dundee. Lol. He was driving, making us a barbeque dinner, all the knowledge about the plants and wildlife and the telescopes and binoculars that are provided. All round a great experience. We didn't have the best night with the weather but I still managed to get some amazing shots with his plan B,C,D just incase. Everything was well organised I dont think it could have been any better.
Me and my husband are so grateful to be in this tour service and we love our tour so much. Our tour guide, Mick is so enthusiastic and he has never failed to entertain us with his joke and also ensuring our safety from each destination. Not to forget the partner, Gavin for making sure all the equipment to see the moon and stars are well set up. Thumbs up for both of them, prepared everything, dinner and blanket etc, so smooth and easy for us. Thank you GPS Adventure Tours and Viator for engaging them. We will be back and hope to be under GPS Adventure tour on our next visit again. Thank you!
We got picked up taken up to a chocolate place and winery. Then onto a honey shop. All were great. We then got to the pinnacles, just fantastic. Gavin our guide cooked us a bbq and set up for star gazing. Gavin gave lots of useful information along the way. I don’t think this is a trip for young children as they would be bored
Fantastic tour, well organised with lots of things to see and do. Gavin was very knowledgeable, giving us little bits of information about the area, plants and wildlife. Highly recommend this tour, great value for money.
This was the highlight of our short holiday in Perth. Value for money tour compared to a few others. Highlights would be Swan Valley, Lacelin Sand Dunes and finally the Pinnacles, which is really an awesome experience not to be missed. Dinner in the serene desert was unique, and moon and star-gazing was a bonus!
Gavin our driver / guide was very good indeed. He drove us to the various places smoothly and safely (despite all of us suffering from an extremely noisy child on the tour). Brought boards for us to sandboard at the dunes, showed us some wild flora and fauna, and then cooked a nice simple dinner and set the telescopes up for us to look at the moon, stars and a couple of planets. An activity filled day trip worth the time and money!
Haven't seen such bright awesome moon and stars through the telescope in pinnacle. It was the merit of this tour. The dinner was definitely nice.
Professional and comitted guide
A fantastic experience I reccomend to all going to Perth WA to put up one day for this
This tour is private with different activities compared to other standard tours in Perth. Well organised, convenient pick up/drop off, good value for money. Dinner was simple but lovely. Gavin was a little quite but very friendly. Try not to talk or talk softly during stargazing. I had three people in my group who wouldn’t stop talking loudly the entire time and it was very disturbing. We didn’t do the Gallery stop and Astrophotography.
This day was great. Gavin, the guide, tells very interesting facts and seems to know a lot about basically everything around Perth -it was great to talk with him. The evening was he highlight of the day ; seeing the Indian sunset in the Pinnacles was wonderful. There is no word to describe how beautiful the stars were after the sunset. Food was also great! I would 100% recommend this day trip if you have the occasion to do it, even for a solo tourist like me. People on the trip easily talked to me, and I also had chats with Gavin.
The Pinnacles at sunset are amazing. This tour was a great way to relax and enjoy the beautiful stars whilst having dinner and a glass of wine. Absolutely recommend it.
This was one of the best tours we did while in Perth. Gavin was our driver/guide and he took great care of all in his group. Our trip started with being picked up in the afternoon with well chosen stops on route to the Pinnacles. We enjoyed the wine tasting, chocolate tasting, and fun on the sand dunes. We arrived at the Pinnacles just before sunset and what a lovely sight to see, just amazing under the setting sun. We believe this was the best time to see the Pinnacles it felt like our small group were the only people here. While the sun was setting Gavin gave us a glass of wine and Gavin set up the table for our dinner which was all homemade by his wife which was delicious. Once dinner was finished we lay down to look at the night sky and Gavin passed on his expert knowledge of the stars and planets to us. Some in the group even got lucky to see a shooting star. With no light pollution this was one special way to see the night sky. We were so glad to find this tour on Viator, so nice that it was a small group which made for a very personal tour. If you are in Perth don't miss this tour you will experience so much, we have very special memories of this trip and can't thank Gavin enough for giving us a great time. Thank you. Alan and Julia
This tour started well and finished better. Went to the chocolates, wine and coffee and then the Pinnacles. Drove around, walked around, took pictures and then the boys cooked a BBQ which was excellent and served with a glass of wine or two. Our guides had a very good knowledge of bush culture and were entertaining. Excellent tour and must be seen(sentinels of the desert) and they do stand proud
Mike was a lovely guide. He was very enhusiastic and engaging, very knowledgable about the wildlife and stars in the pinnacles and up north. we enjoyed ourselves, having spent time at the sand dunes and pinnacles at sunset. just a little sad that we wen on a day that was cloudy, so sometimes couldn't see stars. (can't be helped! but having a stars app did help!)
perhaps an idea that the tour could take up on, since people's feet will be quite sandy, when coming onboard the bus again there could be a small vacuum to help clean off the sand?
I went with my two friends. We were a little group. only 11 people. The tour was lovely. We visited some shops in swan valley ( chocolate shop, caffee shop, honey shop), where you could taste their products. We used the surfboard on the desert at the end we went to pinnacles desert: we arrived before the sunset and the landscape was amazing! We had dinner together, like picnic under the stars, beatiful experience! I'd never seen in my life a sky full of stars. It was a lovely day with a fun company!
The tour guide waa great, but the actually tour could be a bit better.
In the description it says to make sure to have an early lunch and bring some snacks. Well why donwe have 3 30minute stops then for people tonget lunch. Stopping every 5minutes to look at places that you only need 5 is unnecessary. The begining of the tour was boring and madd me wish j wasnt on it. We spent more time at a coffee place than the sand dunes.
The sand dunes and pinnacles were lovely but we didn't reallybsee any stars due to the weather. There should be another acticity planned so you dont feel like you didnt get your money's worth. I understand you cant control weayher but cloud cover is a normal thing.
