A fantastic tour offering some really interesting information about the history of Melbourne combined with great food and drink. Would totally recommend to anyone visiting Melbourne, even if you have been here before like we had.
Thoroughly enjoyed the food walking tour of Melbourne CBD. Sue our tour guide was wonderful. She was friendly and very knowledgeable about the inner city. We saw things you would never notice if walking around on your own. Loved exploring the various lane ways and will definitely explore them a lot more next time we are in Melbourne. The pie, dumplings, coffee and macaroons were very tasty. Don’t expect this tour to be all about and eating loads of food because it’s not. You discover lots of great and quirky places. Thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to discover inner Melbourne a bit more and get great information about some of the the history of Melbourne.
We can thoroughly recommend this tour. Our guide was very friendly and informative and made the tour very interesting with her local knowledge. We went to places we would never have found on our own. It was also nice to meet the other people on the tour.
Extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful guide Monique. Enjoyed the relaxed tour and were very lucky to have Monique to ourselves. Still enjoying some of our purchases.
Very knowledgeable guide. Had a great time.
Fantastic tour, I really loved the integration of awesome eateries with really interesting historical highlights..
Loved this tour which was very informative and entertaining!
Having just spent almost four days in Melbourne my friend and I left wishing we had more days. Our hotel Causeway, down a little lane was right in the middle of the shopping, restaurants and transport links. Couldnt have been in a better place. The walking tour of the lanes and arcades we did with Monique was a lot of fun and very informative. Would never have known half of the delightful little shops, food and even a pub existed without this. Roll on our next visit to Melbourne.
Thoroughly enjoyed this tour, friendly, informative guide in Ruth, eight was ideal number of fellow walkers, learnt so much, stores visited worthy also.
Definitely recommend this Melinda was fantastic. It was like a friend of a friend met you in the city and walked you around all the best places for coffee and dim sum and lunch and drinks. Discovered a ton of places to go back for dinner and shopping later. Thanks!
Totally recommend this tour. Monique was a fountain of knowledge and generous with both her time and information. Loved learning about Melbourne history and discovering some new eat and drink places plus the odd quirky shop. We took our 20 and 14 year old sons and they too enjoyed the experience. We try and do a walking tour in every city we go to and this one is certainly up there with the best we have done.
Monique was engaging, informative and generously shared local insights.
What an amazing tour, the tour guide was outstanding, and you could tell how passionate she was about her city. She took us around to small narrow alleyways that I would have never found! She also took us to some really cool shops and malls around the city. Our tour had us eating some amazing dumplings, macaroons, flat whites, and finishing up with a cocktail at a fun rooftop bar. She gave great suggestions of places to eat and have drinks, and also great areas for shopping. I can't rave enough about this tour!
I was able to explore areas I never would have looked if not for this tour.
The tour was the perfect start to my trip. I got to see and learn about all of CBD while getting yummy treats along the way. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking to get to know the area. It really helped me for the rest of my trip to know where I was and what options were in those places.
Very enjoyable tour of parts of city I wouldn't have found on my own
Overall this trip was informative and interesting but unlike some other food tours I have been on, it didn't revolve around food as much as I expected.
Great tour if you are new to Melbourne. Our guide was awesome and as we were the only ones on the tour she could customise to our interests. Isn't just a foodie tour - she imparted lots of history as well which was really interesting.
I enjoyed the tour and our guide was lovely and very knowledgeable maybe the tour could incorporate a few more food stops. Maybe a bit of Italian and Greek food too.
My family and I enjoyed our trip to Hobart. The Bruny Island tour was great!!!
I did this tour with my parents, and while it was interesting, it really wasn't so much a food tour as it was a walking tour which was our expectation - so we left hungrier than we expected to be. We did get to see some fun, hidden parts of Melbourne, and our guide was very gracious.
Quite disappointing as the only reason I booked this one was to see a rooftop bar. Never happened.
A total RIFF-OFF and one of the worst tours I have gone food wise.
It was very expensive for what we got and should have been 1/2 the price as the food was cheap and nasty.
Although the tour guide Monique was extremely knowledgeable, the food on the tour was cheap and nondescript and a disgrace to Melbourne. (Melbourne is the food capital of Australia).
Firstly if you wanted to serve something Australian - you will bundle up vegemite and meat pie in one go not offer it as 2 tastings. It was a cheap shot. There should be tastings of multicultural cuisine like Italian etc instead of just Chinese dumplings. Instead of going to a macaroon shop you could stop for coffee and cake. Very poor. The guide was excellent just the quality of the food and the tastings. You could even widen the area.
