Excellent tour with helpful and knowledgeable guide. Good value for money. Long day but plenty to see and do. Hotel pick up and drop off a plus.
A great 12-hour tour.
The guide Adam was fantastic. Very informative.
Several beautiful waterfalls.
Great to have a swim in rock pools to cool off from the heat.
The crocodile tour was also fantastic.
The guide was a real character and also very informative
Would highly recommend this trip with Offroad Dreaming if you are visiting Darwin. From the pickup, transport, food provided, spots visited and the guides Toby and Pat, it was a perfect day out for our family of four. The trip down to Litchfield takes about 90 mins and Toby provided a great commentary on the history of Darwin and the Litchfield park before our first stop in Batchelor. After visiting the Termite mounds, it was on to the Wangi waterhole and waterfalls where you knowingly or unknowingly swim with Freshies - it depends if you read the sign before or after you get in. It is a stunning spot and this is where we had lunch. The food provided was excellent - make your own wraps with salad and a variety of cold meats. On to Florence Falls and the Buley Rockpools before we hit the road to Humpty Doo and the Adelaide River ad our croc cruise with Pat. He only invites two tour companies and he is the most Crocodile Dundee bloke you will ever meet - complete with the knife. Brilliant cruise and sharing of Pat's knowledge of crocs and some really up close encounters with truly wild animals. All in all a brilliant day and not a single complaint from our fourteen and eleven year olds.
Great tour overall. Litchfield is beautiful, easy access swims. Our guide Lee was a sweetheart and lit up the tour with his energy and music. The crocodile cruise was the best of three I had around Darwin. Pat who drives the boat is almost wizard-like in his understanding of the river. 100% recommended.
I had a wonderful day, swam in rock pools and spent the day with friendly people.
Our guide Colin was very knowledgeable and produced a tasty lunch.
Brilliant day. Guide was fantastic, she was so informative about the park and Darwin itself. If you only do 1 trip from Darwin do this one. The boat on the river to see the crocodiles was one of the best, most informative, trips ever
This is a MUST! Our tour guide Colin was amazing, he was so friendly and knowledgeable.. he also memorised all our names before we stepped onto the bus and introduced everyone to each other creating such a friendly and positive atmosphere. Litchfield Park was absolutely beautiful and then croc boat cruise down the Adelaide was just incredible! Pat, our tour guide for the croc cruise is such a great man, so passionate about nature and crocs! You get snacks, yummy lunch complimentary and there are many stops at servos if you wanted more snacks.
Seriously book this tour, we would definitely do it again! Thank you Colin and Pat, you made this tour so much fun!
Nice tour with not much time in a bus and decent amount of time at attractions. Great crocodiles cruise - really firsthand experience. Adequate lunch and snacks included. Overall very happy with the tour!
Really enjoyed this day tour! We saw so many things, but the day wasnt rushed.plenty of time to relax, swim and take in the scenery at each waterhole. Lunch was delicious, and plenty of snacks offered during the day. Lots of coffee stops along the way, and toilets available at each waterhole. Dave was an awesome guide- well organized, super friendly and very knowledgeable. The croc tour with Pat was outstanding - they come so close! so many great photo opportunities, lots of info and interesting stories, and always felt safe. Ive done a lot of different tours, and this one really stands out! 10/10 totally recommend these guys! !
A great tour with the crocodile experience being the highlight for us.
Norm our guide was wonderful, informative and funny at the same time, made the trip so relaxed and enjoyable.
Pat The Croc man..wow, wow, such a passionate advocate for these animals...first experience with crocodiles and we learnt so much and are in awe of these animals now.
The waterfalls and swimming holes are magic, water so warm and clear you could see the bottom and fish swimming around you....so relaxing and the spa bits where the water cascades over the rocks so much fun to sit and experience that spa feel.
All meals and snacks were great and we thank the tour operators for accomodating Anna's food intolerances.
All in all a great day and we thoroughly recommend this experience run by a local family. Great job!
Really good tour. Our guide Naf was so nice and knew so much. By entering the van he named everyone to make it in to a group. All the way he was telling facts, but really listened to the group when someone asked something. Small group means 10 people, just enough. Lunch was great, prepared and delicious. End of the day we did the croc cruise with a guy how knew all there is about crocs, really spectacular! More than worth the money, highly recommend this tour. Don't do the big company's, support locals like this one is really personal.
The best organized trip I did during my stay in Australia. Nev was a knowledgeable and fun. We got many fun facts about not only Litchfield but NT and Darwin. A great addition is a jumping crocodile cruise on Adelaide river. Definitely a must do trip when in Darwin
Awesome tour with Neville who was a fantastic tour guide! He was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Pat on the crocodile cruise was amazing and definitely a highlight. Highly recommended tour!!
I had a Small group tour with Off-road Dreaming. Excellent nice driver, great stories, Very nice lunch.
He cares about his guests. Of course with hotel pick up He knew all our names within a few minutes...amazing.
My advise: book this trip and enjoy yourself.
Fantastic trip, highly recommend, great tour leader!
Great trip.....small numbers. Our guide, Adam, from Off-road Dreaming was fantastic. He was very knowledgable and took great care of us, he prepared a great lunch too and there were stops for drinks and snacks.
The Falls were very beautiful with the opportunity to swim at all three. At the end we were taken on the River Adelaide by Pat..........crocodile experience........very close up!!
This was an amazing day and the waterfalls were spectacular. The weather was once again perfect and the guide was amazing, very informative. He gave us a great lunch with morning and afternoon snacks. This was small group which was great. The last tour for the day was seeing the crocodiles in the Adelaide River in their natural habitat. Amazing creatures.
Guide /Driver explain every thing. He is very friendly helpful person. Tour is fantastic.
I thoroughly enjoyed this trip - we had a small group, which made it much more personal and tailored to our needs. Our guide, Neville, was friendly and knowledgeable. It is a long day and great value for money.
This was an absoltuly fantastic tour! It felt homely and relasltics without the commercialism of the bigger companies. Our tour guide Barney, was friendly, knew his local knowledge and a very safe driver which only enchaces the tour as we went from the various locations around Litchfeil National Park. Wangi Falls and Buley Rockhle were favourites- as well as the authentic, right in your face Crocodile Cruise on the Adelaide River. Five-stars from me.
My two children 10 and 15yrs old and myself loved this tour. We found the three swimming areas to be very different adding variety. We all like the driver Barney who was interesting, polite and kept the tour running smoothly. The croc cruise was great very informative with lots of crocodile action.
It was a fantastic day all round
This was an excellent tour that took us from Darwin to Litchfield National Park and allowed us to explore some of the many waterfalls and water holes. I felt like it was an authentic experience as well.
A very nice day with lots of crocodiles and waterfalls...!
