This was a brilliant day out in the Gold Coast. Our driver and guide was Julian and although there were only three of us, he was excellent and provided us with lots of interesting facts and information about the area. The hike through the rain forest was excellent. Also, all drinks, snacks and lunch was provided. The experience of feeding the birds was great fun. All in all, an excellent day and extremely good value.

Unforgettable impressions. Great tour with a great tour guide who explained every detail you asked him.

It was raining heavily, but they did not cancel my excursion. I was a single attendant on that particular day but received a perfect attitude and full service. Everything else - the tour itself, snacks and talking was great. Many thanks.

A absolute must do when visiting South East Queensland. Ben and Julian were great guides as we walked through the Lamington National park. The sites were amazing to see as the waterfalls were running hard and the wildlife was out. Provided a great experience all round. Highly recommend.

My partner and I did the Lamington Full day tour and loved the entire experience! We were picked up from Brisbane which completely took the stress out of the drive up to the National Park. The guides Ben and Julian were super knowledgeable and shared heaps of interesting facts about the local fauna and flora. I’m not an overly active person & wasn’t sure how I’d go, however the pace and distance of the walk was perfect! We were fortunate enough to see the waterfalls in action & plenty of wildlife along the way. After the waterfalls we were able to feed the birds at O’Rileys & were provided with a fantastic lunch. Overall this was a highly enjoyable day and we hope to try the Springbrook tour when we book our next trip back. Thanks guys for the great day!

Went out with Benn on 11/29/19/ It was an amazing last day in Australia. We were lucky enough to have had only 3 total in our hike group. We all were experienced enough to have been able to hike to all 4 waterfalls. The route took us on some narrow paths with steep drop offs and some large boulders which was actually pretty cool t climb over. The description did say this but i wasn't sure how intense it would be. I figured we would be ok, considering we are very active. Benn was an amazing tour guide, and i loved that it had included lunch and didn't have to worry about carrying too much. Thanks for a great day!

This day and tour was absolutely perfect. The guide, Benn, was both knowledgeable and extremely personable, and the small group really got along well with fun conversation. We were walking at a good clip, so we were able to do the 11 km circuit—and it was well worth it. The waterfalls and the plant and animal life made the day quite memorable. We ended the day with an excellent lunch with a great view of the landscape. Highly recommend to others!!!

We’ve done a lot of hiking and bush walking over the years and the Lamington Day Tour with Rainforest Tours Australia is up there with the best. Our arrival at O’Reilly’s was a great experience with huge numbers of crimson rosellas and king parrots that flock to feed from your hands. The Box circuit trail was a real rain forest environment (like you see in the movies!) and to highlight our day in the rain forest it actually lightly rained whilst on the hike. We saw a Blue Bower Bird building its nest and viewed the rainforest canopy from the tree top walk. All the guests on the tour were looked after so well and the tea-breaks included a few mouth-watering delights. Julian, our guide was a great host and provided some interesting historical facts. Fantastic day! W and K (Melbourne)

Awesome tour! 30km walk and some climbing. Fantastic falls and never so close to the nature. Small group tour with professional guide.

This is one of the best tours we've experienced - ever! Kaylene is a top-notch professional. She is courteous, knowledgeable and is very caring about the experience. She is a fabulous advocate of nature and is exactly the type of person anyone interested in taking this tour would want. Kaylene never rushed us and we felt as though we had known her for years! Whether or not your hiking resume is empty or impressive, Kaylene will provide a fabulous time. This is one of the best value adds we found during our Holiday. So much FUN! Actually, if I could rank this a 10 star rating - I would. Full speed ahead to anyone considering this adventure. You will not be dissapointed.

We took the Elabana & Box Forest Falls hike. Not exactly what we booked -- we were pleasantly surprised on our pickup that we received a free upgrade. The forest was immensely beautiful. The hike was off the beaten track. We saw almost no one all day. One could walk around this area without a guide, clearly many locals do. But if you are from out of town and without a car, then this is the trip for you. Kaylene is an extremely conscientious tour leader. She paces the walk to her group, she brings snacks, she knows out of the way spots to stop, she is patient about photographers. She is also the minivan driver! She is an interesting person, full of wonderful anecdotes. It was a pleasure to spend a day with someone who really loves the forest and loves showing it off to others. This is not a big corporate tour on a bus, with a bored guide doing the same thing 10 times a week. Keylene offers a few different tours, she organizes them herself, and she takes full responsibility for the success of each trip. The groups are small --we had six -- the van might hold one or two more. She works hard for her money!

The tour guide was super nice, the views are fabulous. I love it!!!!! We took a walk on the rocks along the brook, that's an unforgettable experience.

This was an amazing hiking trip! Kaylene was a wonderful guide. She really cares about providing a good hiking experience, and you can really tell that she loves what she does. This is also a very immersive trip in which you get to spend a lot of time in the forest. Kaylene shared so much of her knowledge of the plant and animal life and really went out of her way to make sure we got the full experience! I would definitely recommend this trip!

My friends and I did a guided hiking tour in the Lamington National Park. It was 4 miles of hiking tour. Kaylene Whitley was our tour guide and she was awesome! She was really good at explaining history of some interesting trees and plants. This made our tour more meaningful and fun. I loved when she showed her favorite spots such as Elabana and Box Forest. All the spots she showed us were spectacular.

The Lamington National Park tour with Kaylene has been the highlight of my trip to the Gold Coast! I went to Springbrook the day before and while that was beautiful, this was simply amazing - plus it's less busy so you feel like you have all this wonderful nature to yourself. Kaylene was a joy to be with - she is passionate about rainforests, has lots to share about the history of national parks in Australia, and is very knowledgeable about the wildlife in Lamington. The hike was pretty straightforward, there were just a few big rocks to climb over but Kaylene was very patient with me as I navigated around them :) We went to Picnic Rock, Box Forest Falls, Elabana Falls and the treetop walk. Everything was stunning and each sight was so worth seeing. We ended the day the best way possible - hot food and coffee at the cafe which had the most beautiful view of the mountains. It was just lovely and I already can't wait to be back to do the longer tours with her!

What an amazing piece of the world. Lookouts over valleys, Antarctic Beech forests, creek crossings, fun and laughter. Fabulous weekend. I am new to buswalking and I'm seriously hooked thanks to Rainforest Tours and Kaylwen, Cathie, Dennis, Mightie.

Fraser L February 2018

Spent a day exploring the trails leading to the beautiful Box Forest and Elabana Falls and returned to O'Reillys via the treetop trail. Kaylene was an excellent guide - punctual, engaging and knowledgeable. I'd thoroughly recommend Rainforest Tours to anyone who wants to walk the rainforest trails and see the outstanding beauty of this area.

Jill H November 2017

Today's hike through the Box Forest was truly the most beautiful walk. The waterfalls were all flowing fully, the trees along the way were absolutely magnificent and the paths were great. The birdcalls were continuous the whole way. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and Kaylene the operator ensured we saw every beautiful lookout and feature. This was actually a treat I gave myself for my birthday and it was well worth every minute of it. Loved it!!

Sean E October 2017

This was a great experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the local plants and animals, and she had great enthusiasm for sharing her knowledge with us. Lamington Park is beautiful and not too far from Broadbeach where we were staying. Hike was long enough for a good workout but not so long as to be exhausting. Highly recommend this to anyone who wants to see the rainforest.

composer80224 October 2017

I spent two days on hikes with Kaylene Whitley of Rainforest Tours Australia. It was incredible! She arranged a stay in a guesthouse, transport to airport, and meals. She is a patient guide, and knew of many places for great photographs!

brenda861031 August 2017

I had a extremely great time during this trip. The scene and wildlife are fantastic. I strongly recommend people can visit there to relax and get closer to nature. The tour guide also is lovely and professional, and I learn a lot in this trip.

Audra K March 2017

My favorite part of this tour was Kaylene, she has had such anot amazing life and I loved hearing her stories! The hike isn't hard, just a slight uphill on the way back. It's very pretty, especially the waterfall, and I absolutely loved seeing the wildlife! So glad I went on this tour!

Katherine P August 2016

I had the most magical time walking through Lamington NP for my final day in Gold Coast. I loved the waterfalls and had a great guide in Kaylene. I could not have asked for a better excursion and I will recommend her company to any of my friends who plan to visit the area.

Denise July 2016

the guide is helpful and friendly. I enjoy the hiking very much.
