Leonard K July 2021

Was a fantastic experience. The train ride up to Kuranda was great. The old train carriages looked grand. The scenery spectacular. Kuranda itself is a pretty little town. The markets were great. Perfect couple of hours just relaxing and wandering about. Skyrail coming back was just as nice. Over the forest canopy and the scene coming back the final part, looking out over the bay was great

Journey from and to kuranda was enjoyable. Kuranda itself is a small village with full of shops!. We did a rainforest trip in armyduck.

Gwenneth R November 2020

Well organised self-paced tour, with plenty of spare time to explore Kuranda. Stunning views from the train and the Skyrail.

Vicky Z November 2020

This was an amazing tour. The old train ride was pure brilliance as it allows you to enjoy the scenery. The Cable Cart ride was brilliant to be able to see the top of the mountains and the valleys. The people of Kuranda were awesome. I would 100% recommend this tour.

Libby T October 2020

To learn how the railway was built was certainly very educational. The scenery was wonderful both from the train and SkyView. I would highly recommend this trip but in the cooler weather.

April 2020

We were impressed with the entire day. The railroad trip was pleasant. The skyrail impressive and the village area of the indigenous people so much fun!

Jennifer B February 2020

We loved the tour. We took the train up, walked through the zoo-our guide was very knowledgeable! We ate a nice lunch, went on the army duck tour, and watched the Aborigines performances. The kids loved watching the boomerang and the didgeridoo presentation. We are coming back in a couple of days to do Bird Word, the butterfly sanctuary, and the other wildlife park. We took the sky cam down, which the kids also loved.

Helen D January 2020

From start to finish a lovely day, so scenic and a brilliant way to see the rain forest. Absolutely loved it.
Kuranda village has some lovely shopping and the cuddle the Koala is an added bonus. Thank you will be back x

I dont like heights, but still found the cable car nice. If that's something that worries you, it doesnt go extremely high up, and you get breaks in between to walk forest boardwalks.

The train is also very good. You get alot of chances to take photos, although the train only stopped once. There are plenty of clearings on the way down to see the ocean and towns below.

Laddmgmt November 2019

we went up to Kuranda on the train, it was fun easy and we took lots of pictures along the way. spend time in town shopping and eating then rode the Sky Rail back down. The Sky Rail was incredible. We were high above the trees you can see for miles. Get out on the first stop and see the gorge from that side it breathe taking.

ctctennis November 2019

An incredible day! Rode the Sky Rail up, the Train back - I highly recommend this experience. The river and the shops in Kuranda were easily accessible. The Train ride down impressive and informative.

glsouter October 2019

The train ride was excellent but the gondola ride down was the highlight of the day.....Recommended tour for anyone wishing to see some really great scenery.

Blondie October 2019

We took the scenic railway up to Kuranda and had a look around in the Market and Bird World there along with time to stop to have a bite to eat. Beautiful place, I would recommend and go back again. We then took the cable car back down to get a different view which was amazing.

Glynis G October 2019

You do not need to pay extra to hold the bear - only if you want a picture taken ( it is a very good picture). We would have liked to see the butterflies and birds also but felt rushed.

Marjorie R. B October 2019

I only wish we had spent more time in Kuranda so we could have enjoyed the Butterfly's, Koalas, and birds more. The train ride was so easy and scenic. The tram offered beautiful views. It was absolutely wonderful.

Pegg B September 2019

Spent two full days on Reef and had one extra day and wanted to use time to see the most. Ummm his trip was it. Took train up and sky rail down. Sky rail closes at 5:00 and bus waits at bottom until everyone is down. Had lots of time on way down to visit side stops and even a free short tour. At top of Kuranda once off the railway or sky rail you take a small shuttle or short walk into shopping area with h Restaurants. Most shops close around 3-4. You can go to Butterfly or Koala Park for extra fees. We opted to pick up bus from Butterfly venue and go to Rainforestation and fed kangaroo(get feed before entering animal area, saw Tasmanian devil, koalas, crocs. Great buffet lunch with kangaroo and croc soup. Plus aboriginal show!!

Ombelline S August 2019

We enjoyed this tour very much !

We had hesitated between all the available options in Kuranda and eventually decided to take the scenic railway to go to Kuranda and the Skyrail cableway to come back. We are very happy about it, both are different, it was very interesting :
- to take the historic train, learn more about its construction and be immersed in the landscape, while also making a stop to see Barron Falls
- and then travelling above the rainforest (it is impressive to be so high above ground, so be careful about that if you are afraid of heights).

Pick-up and drop-off at the hotel were greatly appreciated.

During our time in Kuranda we had time to see shops, we also did a part of a rainforest walk and strolled near the river.

Type of visit : family (adults)

Linda H July 2019

Terrific organization from pick up to drop off. Dubious about the amount of time allotted at the attractions but it was just right! Plenty of time to walk the village and visit the koalas and enjoy the Sky View walks.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours in advance of the start date of the experience.
