Where do I begin with how WONDERFUL this tour was??!! First, a little background. We were on a cruise that only had 9.5 hours in Melbourne and we really wanted to drive part of the Great Ocean Road...but also wanted to see the 12 Apostles. After being told "no" by several other tour operators because of limited time, David worked with me easily to accomplish our mission. We drove the GOR all the way to Apollo Bay (stopping along the way to see various sites...Bell's beach, kangaroos in the wild, overlooks, GOC sign, Lorne, etc) then we took a flight from there over the southern coast to see the 12 Apostles and Bay of Islands. Our tour guide Steve was AMAZING!!! We even saw a koala in the wild on our way back to the ship. Definitely a day we will never forget!!!! David is WONDERFUL to work with, and will set everything up so that your day is perfect!! Thanks again David and Steve!!!!
We enjoyed a full day tour with Daniel. He was extremely knowledgeable and made wonderful suggestions for the day. We enjoyed wine tastings at several Yarra Valley wineries and a wonderful lunch that Daniel arranged at Somah. A perfect day all around. We highly recommend Daniel as a guide.
David figured out what we wanted to see and do by interacting with us before and during our two days in Melbourne, he toured at our pace and showed us more than expected with comfortable pickup and drop off at every place. Provided just the right amount of explanation, photo ops, meal stops, rest room and other details.
This tour was amazing!
This was a great tour. Daniel did a great job taking us around to all the Melbourne sites. The price was very reasonable as it is fixed price for up to 7 people and we had 6.
Excellent
We are happy and enjoying the tour much, very comfortable with David - he is not just a guide but a new friend to us. He knows what we want and flexible with our schedule, highly recommended.
The tour guide was amazing!! My guide asked me what I would like to do for the day, and she gave me a lot of information about the city while we took a walk around the city.
We did a full day tour with David who was terrific, we highly recommend him to anyone looking for a personable, knowledgeable local guide.
We had time only for a half day city tour, but the exhilarating experience with Hugo left us wishing we could have his expert company for a week! He was exceptionally considerate to my elderly parents, and tailored the tour perfectly for our quirky preferences and physical limitations. Being born and bred in Melbourne, he was the ideal guide giving us insight to the rich culture and history of the city, while being witty, personable yet professional. Thank you, Hugo, for giving us great memories and superb photos!
We're huge foodies and David took us to some really cool spots. We loved the 4 pizza at Lucky Coq, the gelato at Pidapipo, the coffee at Middletown and The Alps wine bar. David knew the owner and he took great care of us!
Magnifique! La voiture de David était très agréable et sa personnalité était encore plus agréable. Melbourne est une ville merveilleuse
We started in the CBD as my husband wanted to see a couple of the churches. Our guide David then walked us to the Shrine of Remembrance and Botanical Gardens which were beautiful. He was very knowledgable and passionate about the city. Then we went to Toorak as I wanted to see the wealthiest part of Melbourne before finishing in Chapel St. Overall an excellent local's perspective.
David arrived on time and told us that Melbourne was famous for its coffee. We went to a beautiful cafe in South Melbourne and the coffee was indeed fantastic! Really nice guy and I would highly recommend if you want a local's perspective.
We went to Healesville Sanctuary with David and had a really good time. He arrived on schedule and we are so glad we went there instead of the Melbourne Zoo. The animals had so much more room to roam around and the nearby pub was delicious!
We had a wonderful day trip with David. We wanted to tick a lot off the list and managed Albert Park Lake, St Kilda, the Toorak mansions, Collingwood and Fitzroy without it feeling too rushed. He knows his stuff and we wish we had more time!
Melbourne est une ville magnifique et il nous a agréablement surpris . Nous aurions choisi l'option de 8 heures , mais nous allons voir David à nouveau l'année prochaine lorsque nous visitons pour le mariage de mon cousin .
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. My wife was tired and grumpy to start the day but she was all smiles by the end of it. Our favourite part was the beautiful Botanical Gardens
David was fantastic and his car was extremely comfortable.
David nos mostrĂł lo mejor de Melbourne, en una cantidad limitada de tiempo
Outstanding value. David tailors the tour to your specific interests and we left on a very high note!
The guide was very good. She came with a large bus which prevented her from parking in many important places in the city. Our initial request to visit the Alleys was not fulfilled due to a misunderstanding with the tour operator. Our visit to Coombe Melba restaurant was disappointing and the long time wasted there due to slow service meant that we were unable to complete our tour as planned.
