Enjoy the sights of one of the worlds most scenic drives in the comfort and convenience of this genuine small group tour with a maximum of only 11 guests on board. Our smaller bus can also get to a few spots the bigger busses can't. Meet at our convenient central Melbourne pick up point before you head to the Great Ocean Road. Please, help yourself to our complimentary hand sanitiser. The day starts with a morning tea of freshly brewed coffee, tea, hot chocolate, biscuits and cake by the beach then our experienced guides will tell the tales that bring this amazing stretch of coast alive. Stops include Teddys Lookout, Memorial Arch, Apollo Bay, guided rain forest walk, 12 Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge and Gibson Steps. Keep your eyes open for Kangaroos and Koalas too! We finish with a hearty dinner at a traditional Aussie pub before you are dropped back at your accommodation in Melbourne.
Firstly, we depart Melbourne a bit later than most of the other tours that head down the Great Ocean Road from our convenient central pick up location. After all who really wants to be part of a coach convoy, or spend hours driving around the city picking up other passengers? Our aim is to be well behind all the crowds in the big busses. This also gives you time for a leisurely breakfast in Melbourne and to get to our central pick up point.

The action starts in the beautiful coastal town of Anglesea, which is also the beginning of The Great Ocean Road, just over an hour’s drive south west of Melbourne.

Here we stop for morning tea by the beach. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits and cake all included.

Now it’s time to travel one of the most scenic and famous roads in the world. You will stop at the memorial arch as well as many other scenic photo opportunities along the way.

Visit Lorne and stop at Teddys lookout for stunning views of the coast line (one of those stops that only a small bus can access).

Your guide is also an expert at spotting local wildlife and along the way will find wild Koalas and always be on the lookout for wild Kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas and some of our colourful parrots and birds.

You will stop in Apollo Bay for lunch where you get time to explore one of the Australia’s most beautiful coastal towns.

Lunch is up to you, dine in or take away from one of many fine cafes, restaurants, fish and chip shops or famous Apollo Bay bakery with its award winning scallop pies.

Or if you prefer, bring your own lunch for a picnic on the beach.

In the summer months you can even bring bathers and a towel for a dip in the Southern ocean.

Next your guide will take you for a Rainforest walk amongst some of the oldest and tallest ecosystems on earth – the Great Otway National Park cool climate rainforest.

Finally we reach the spectacular Port Campbell National Park, home of the the world famous and breathtaking 12 Apostles.

You will also have time to explore Loch Ard Gorge, where ocean water tumbles through sheer limestone cliffs and go for a walk on the beach at Gibson steps.

During the winter months, witness the sunset over the Southern Ocean.

We then head for home inland via the western district farming town of Colac where we sit down to dinner at a traditional Aussie country pub (included) before you are dropped back at your accommodation in Melbourne.

March 2020

Kevin was energetic, knowledgeable, organized and fun. A beautiful day.
Some stunning views. We greatly enjoyed it.

Robert A March 2020

There may be several options you have for this tour, however this is the one you want to be on. Smaller group means a much more intimate experience. You really get a lot for your money on this one and our guide/tour owner couldn’t have been better. The finale at a local pub was surprisingly good food. Highly recommend this one to see these sights.

Judy F March 2020

This was a wonderful day! I was worried about how long it was, but Travis broke the day up with thoughtfully paced breaks. He was informative and funny. The scenery was breathtaking!
I highly recommend this!!!

Louise R February 2020

Joanne N February 2020

We enjoyed our small group tour with Travis. He was an entertaining and informative tour guide. We highly recommend this tour option for the Great Ocean Road.

Ruth B February 2020

Travis was the best tour guide, very animated, very informative. He made us coffee, served cake, had water for us. It was a 13-hour tour and he never lost his enthusiasm. By the end of the day, we all felt like family who had shared a magical day.

Rod C January 2020

This was a wonderful day full of gorgeous scenery, koalas in trees, coffee and cookies on a bluff overlooking the ocean, and a walk through a forest of giant tree ferns. All made more special by our guide Lizzie who was knowledgeable about the area, a great story teller and a joy to spend the day with. The trip was very well organised, well paced and the van comfortable. Lizzie's playlist was upbeat and fun and coordinated to the various parts of our journey. A great little detail we all enjoyed. Pick up and drop off was easy. Our group of 11 was the perfect size for a really special outing. Thanks Lizzie. You're the best!

masuejin November 2019

Travis is a very energetic and happy tour operator, made our trip really enjoyable. I loved the small group, though if you have long legs might feel a bit tight for you. Dinner was yummy! It was a great experience overall and I highly recommend it.

Douglas M November 2019

Weather wise we may well have had the best day in November with 28 degrees and it was a great day out, obviously a bit of travel involved but I think we saw the best of what was on offer with a very well informed and helpful guide.

Thomas S November 2019

Let's start with Travis. We couldn't have asked for a better guide/driver. From the start of the day he made sure he had everyone's name noted and made everyone feel welcome. The trip lasted about 13 hours but the stops were nicely spaced out. Travis was ready with helpful tips at each stop and shared his knowledge along the way. The sights speak for themselves, and shouldn't be missed. Breathtaking. Would travel with Travis anytime.

cfbreedy November 2019

Great experience, wonderful tour guide Travis. Everything well planned, the places we visit were beautiful, the food was very good, no complaints at all, highly recommended

ivan a October 2019

The tour would be the same without our amazing guide: Lizzie (hope the spelling is correct!) She explained a lot of facts about the places we were passing by, telling us stories, curiosities...everything to make the day a very special day. She also set the proper song for each right moment! Really suggested, but ask to have Lizzie as your guide!

debra.p October 2019

jmraudelunas October 2019

We had a wonderful day from start to finish!!! From the beaches, rainforest, the Twelve Apostles, story telling, and the drive inland and stopping a a good pub for dinner the day was great!

playapapa October 2019

Travis was great. Small tour groups are much more enjoyable. Not only do you get closer to the sites; you get to know your fellow travelers. It is a long day, but well worth it.

John D October 2019

Travis made the tour with his great variety of events from perfect photo ops to short walks that brought the landscape alive to wonderful stories about the history and people of the Great Ocean Road. He is so warm, friendly, cheerful and has a great sense of humor. Loved his enthusiasm/passion for Melbourne and Australia.

Travis to start is highly knowledgeable which is essentially useful for a trip. it is a small group tour only so max you will get 11 pax (so not too much time wasted waiting for others). Started with a nice breakfast by the beach and end with a super delicious dinner. Pace of tour was fairly okay considering the places we visited.

Janet N April 2019
