Went to a day trip to Grampians National Park with Leonie, it was a great day, Leonie is a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable about wide life and nature in general, ask her a question and you will get an answer, for non-native speakers - she speaks very clearly and is happy to explain things time and time again. Leonie, you were great! Monika and Pawel
Katherine was a great host went all the way to please .. in my words was a sweety. The trip was great lots of stop offs, weather was kind which made the experience perfect.
Amazing experience saw lots of wildlife in their natural habitat and the tour guide Jon was very knowledgable and approachable . I would definitely recommend the trip to see Australia at its best.
Great tour leader. Informative, well coordinated and generally pleasant trip. Cons the bumpy highway and scavenging birds.
We thoroughly enjoyed Grampians National Park! It was a gorgeous day with fun, yet challenging hikes, beautiful views and lots of wildlife. Katherine the Great was the best guide we had over a 6 week holiday in Australia. Her grand retreat saved us from the Emu War of 2020! Katherine was also a master dj with amazingly clever playlists coordinated with our activities. It is a long drive but the Grampians are so worth it and Katherine made it fun. I think we sang the whole way back!
Great tour, nice places visited, Grampians National Park is worth to see! Transport and meal included. And what a great tour guide! Thank you Phil!
You cannot visit Melbourne without doing this trip. Yes the bus rides are long and even these bus rides are filled with gorgeous views of the landscapes of Australia. The hikes are breathtaking and the views outstanding. You will be advised not to swim in the waterfalls because of recent drownings, however, swimming in the waterfall was the highlight of my trip. My advice is to stay close to shore and know your limits. Honestly, this trip has been one of my favorite memories in my travels. Therefore, if you love outdoors, then w.hat are you waiting for. One thing, bring headphones because some guides are chatty lol.
Our trip to the Grampians was amazing. Our tour guide Ben did a fantastic job explaining the history of the region and showing us some fantastic spots along the way. This was our first trip outside the city and it was a tremendous way to see more of Australia!
Well worth it long drive but beautifull views Kelly our driver did a wonderful job looking after us lunch included you can't go wrong
You can't say you have visited Melbourne as a tourist without having been part of this tour. There are hidden gems scattered around with big distance between one another. This Eco Tour bring them all together in a 12 hours enjoyable mini-bus ride yet allowing those physically fit the opportunities to explore at their own place up and down the mountains. Mel took good care of us all and entertained us all the time, still remember the cakes she prepared, YUM.
The tour was very nicely paced and non-rushed. We had a small group of about 13 people and our guide Leonie was excellent. Remember to dress in layers, because the temperature could be cold in the morning and hot in the afternoon, especially after the hike.
Had a lovely day in Grampians, really enjoyed getting out and doing some hikes. The hikes are mostly lower key, but really pretty views at the waterfall and an overlook. Also some drive-up overlooks that were gorgeous. Lunch was tasty, and seeing kangarros with joeys in their pouches was the perfect end to the day!
My girlfriend and I did this day trip on August 31, 2019. It was a very small group of only about 10 people including the guide. We all fit in one of the smaller touring fans which made it feel more personal. Our guide Leonie was very knowledgeable and really did a good job of driving and guiding us around. It's worth noting that this is a very long day with about 3 hours of driving each way to and from the Grampians which can't be helped, it's just where they are relative to Melbourne. When you're in the Grampians you do three mini-hikes (none take more than 45 minutes of time) of increasing difficulty which give you a feel for the park. Make sure you wear comfortable walking shoes. You also get to see two very nice overlooks of the park. Definitely the whole trip is worth it, especially if the weather is nice.
Our guide Leah was really nice and very informative. The best part of this whole trip is definitely the hike we did at the Grand Canyon loop. It's not a very easy hike and can be quite tiring so I wouldn't recommend it for older people. The waterfalls we saw on this trip was also very beautiful. Because we went in winter, we also got the opportunity to see some kangaroos close up at the oval. The whole experience was just generally very wonderful! Would definitely recommend this to those who love the outdoors and some light hiking.
This tour is perfectly planned, from the well-chosen playlist to the coffee breaks and lunch (included in the price!) and the many attractions with (usually) different routes people can take to reach them, depending on fitness level. It's also great that it's a small tour, allowing for individualised attention (our guide was always offering to take everyone's photos) and making it easy for everything to be on time (only one person was late for 1 minute the entire day). I can't think of a better introduction to the Grampians and if you're lucky enough to get Kathryn as a guide it's guaranteed to be the best day trip ever!
A most enjoyable day out. Lousy weather meant it could have been miserable but excellent and enthusiastic tour guide (Katherine) brought the group together and made it fun as well as being informative. Could do with a more attractive stop on the return journey but otherwise highly recommended.
We had a wonderful tour group and tour guide, Scott "whose hair smells like strawberries". He runs the itinerary very well and makes it a point to have all of us informed. He shares very interesting stories along the long drive from Melbourne to Grampians.
The trekking goes from easy to intermediate but it was all worthwhile for the view..
Great views at Grampians National Park and lookouts, hikes to the MacKenzie Falls and Grand Canyon; informative trip; kangaroo in the wild sightings; great tour guide Phil of GoWest Tours, memorable trip and experience!
Great day out, the tour guide was knowledgeable and very hospitable! The Grampians was beautiful and would thoroughly recommend!
We took this tour recently and loved it. It is a long day but is well worth it. Our guide/driver was Leah and she was really pleasant and obliging. We had a number of stops along the way and saw some beautiful scenery, along with emus, wallabies, kangaroos, cockatoos, rosellas, a kookaburra and others. We arrived back in Melbourne around 9 pm having thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I would definitely recommend it.
Great small bus tour. Picnic lunch. Various walks not too strenuous and the guide Phil was very good and kept us all amused on the road trip to the Gramps and back. Pickup and drop off at the hotel too. A stop for dinner on the way back at a chippy at own expense made a good break in the journey back. Must be Phils aunty in the chippy!! Some fantastic photo opportunities on this trip so dont forget your camera.
We enjoyed the Grampians National Park Tour tremendously! The guide was on point since the pick up at the hotel. He gave up tips and a little history about Melbourne while driving. The tour includes breakfast and lunch, this is a whole day tour so we bought extra food at the lunch stop. Thank you!
For me this trip was well worth the money. It is a long day but you get to see a lot of beautiful places. Boroka and Reeds Lookout are truly beautiful while McKenzie Falls are spectacular. it is a long way down to the bottom of the falls so allow 15 -20 minutes to climb back out if you are in a time frame. Also if you are elderly or have limitations you may want to reconsider going down and instead they have a viewing area that is easier to walk to. well worth spending the day on this trip.
The tour was awesome. Joel, the guide, was very helpful, informative, and friendly. He hiked with us and kept checking if anyone had any difficulties. Hiking shoes would come in handy. We had super close encounter with kangaroos and wallabies. Saw emus on the way back too.
