The experience was amazing. Check in with Craig and his team of staff was smooth and professional. We set off with our double Kayak and paddled over to Store Beach (near Quarantine Beach). It was a beautiful day and the weather was perfect. Definitely a must do if you live or are just visiting Manly. The best way to see Collins Flat, Quarantine or Store Beach. And they supply dry bags, so next time we will take a picnic.

What a great day we had yesterday when hiring some kayaks from Craig and the team at Manly Kayaks. Booking system was super easy, we were able to use our Discover vouchers (NSW people only) and their set up to make it Covid safe was great. Kayaks and paddles were all in good condition, very safe as have life jackets supplied and the crew were super helpful. The sun was shining and we paddled around the nearby coves and beaches and it was just amazing. So lucky to have this on our doorstep. Thanks Manly Kayaks.

Amazing location, excellent service. Great way to spend a day - exploring the harbour side of Manly.

Super helpful and beautiful place to kayak. I love Manly and this was a wonderful way to see it, and while in lockdown too! Maps, check in facilities, COVID safe and dine & discover vouchers all easy to use.

Thank you for explaining everything before and be so friendly with us, also I asked the staff how old he thinks my boyfriend was and he said 28 hahah you made his day!! ;) we forgot some black basic flip flop I left a message but no one called me back, I will try again. thanks Lou

We hired a double for 4 hours and kayaked to Q Station beach which has a lovely cafe. The beach was quiet and it was a public holiday. We lazed in teh sun and had a swim, then paddled back along the shore line checking out the boats and other beaches. A fun thing to do in Manly

Beautiful day on the harbour. Nice service, simple to get around and enjoy some secluded harbour beaches

recrema2013 December 2020

So much fun! The experience is great, the 4 beaches you have to paddle around they are the most beautiful in Sydney! Highly recommend!

My son and I hired a kayak for 2 hours and paddled around to one of the suggested beaches for a swim (my son, not me!) and then paddled along following the shoreline. It was a little windy but we had a great time. The water was a bit fresh and we got a bit of a splash from some of the passing boats but it all adds to the fun. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this. Especially sitting at the back of the kayak!

Manly kayaks went above and beyond for me and I cannot thank them enough! They made my proposal on store island run perfectly smooth and am so grateful. Thank you specially to Jeni, Craig and Chris for all your help through such a difficult process! You guys are amazing ❤️ I would highly recommend Manly Kayak Centre to anyone wanting to kayak or to plan an unforgettable proposal!

Staff were friendly and helpful. We had a great time even on a cloudy day. The beaches you can go to are fun to explore and nice and secluded.

My partner and I decided to try something different than just heading to the beach. What a pleasant surprise! We hired a double kayak for 2 hours and explored the various beaches of Manly(one of which can only be accessed via boat). We had a wonderful time and were given very good advice and safety instructions from the staff. We will be sure to book another day when the weather picks up again. 5*

We headed down here to hire a kayak for an hour. Everything went well for us but the advice that they were giving to others was a bit off. One couple were looking to go for an hour but got up sold to 2 hours (whereas I would have thought that they could just charge you more when you got back). Another guy (who seemed to have an angry disposition) was upset that he had hired a kayak for 4 hours but couldn't paddle across to the opposite side of the bay. What they didn't both to tell him was that they have another shop on the opposite side of the bay where he could have picked up his kayak and gone where he wanted to. Anyway, it for us it all worked out well but a bit more focus on what customers want would be good.

Stand Up Paddle boarding on and around Many Cove is awesome with little kids. We hired a SUP and Kayak and our 5 and 6 years old girls loved it. The staff running the place were also really awesome. Thanks.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Kayak experience. Friendly people and such a beautiful place to watch the world pass you by. Also great restaurants close by. Whilst visiting Manly a few days after our Kayak experience my daughter slipped and hurt her tail bone and back. We asked around and were highly recommended to see a clinic called The Happy Body based at Manly. The man is brilliant and resolved her pain quickly . My husband who had been having severe nerve pain also got an appointment and could not believe the relief he got in 1 visit. Good to know if your away from home and need help with pain. Oh , Up at Queenscliff beach, which is the next beach along from Manly there is a small place called Salty Rooster take away food. Fantastic, fresh and very tasty for all the family. Highly recommend you go. You can walk from Manly - 20 min. or hire a push bike which is what we did another day. Collaroy Beach is a very pretty beach about 20 min drive further up the coast which is beautiful, safe for kids to swim and a beach pool that is great for all ages. There is a cafe across the road, many in fact but the one we loved the most is close by the Cinema and the food is fresh and home made. Terrific coffee and cakes as well as a delicious breakfast.

We absolutely loved our morning out with manly kayak centre. We took our two sons aged 7 and 9 and hired two double kayaks for a few hours. We paddled over to Stores Beach had a picnic, play on the beach and paddled back. The boys both swam even though middle of winter. The staff were really helpful and great providing all the equipment for adults and kids and gave us a dry bag as well. Highly recommend as a day out even for locals

Hired a kayak for 3 hours and was provided with good equipment and a big dry bag spacious enough for snorkelling gear, picnic, camera and a whole load of other stuff. You are provided with a map which clearly shows you where you can go and more importantly not to go due to the ferries going back and forth to Sydney. Briefing also included advice on wind direction and again what to do/not to do in relation to this. 3 hours was loads of time to get to the 3 near-by beaches, have a snorkel and a pic nic on the beach. Would have given it 5* but no-one asked me if I had been in a kayak before or could even swim and given that I was on my own this should have been covered. If you are a novice you could still have a fun hour playing about in the harbour but if you need advice or a bit of basic tuition, you clearly have to ask as none is automatically offered. They were busy with school groups when I got back so best to book or go early.

Perfect way to enjoy all the watersports that Manly has on offer - Standup Paddle (SUP) Boarding / SUPBall / SUPYoga / Kayaking / Kayak Yoga / Kayak Fitness / Romantic Picnics / Group Activities / fantastic idea for Stag & Hen Do's as well!!!! Incredible way to explore Sydney Harbour, Collins Flat Beach, Store Beach, Forty Baskets Beach and all the little inlets that the average tourist (or local!) might not even know about. Not the cheapest activity in town ($25 for one hour SUP) but one not to miss! Two desks are situated at either end of the Wharf for hiring toys - one at Sealife and the other outside the Wharf Bar (opposite Garfish). Enjoy!

The person who previously wrote the review about the stand up paddle boards has some serious issues. I hired both a paddle board and a kayak from this centre and both experiences where awesome. The staff direct you to paddle board in the sheltered harbour, not towards the ferries, similarly for the kayaking except you can take in a few smaller harbours again away from the ferries. They where very instructive with directions and quite courteous for young people in my opinion, plus the volume of customers is quite extreme for the holiday season, they did well, trust me. The kayaking was absolutely spectacular and I enjoyed every single moment of it. The rock formations along the shoreline and the little beaches and bays of Sydney are simply divine and to see them via the sea and a kayak is simply wonderful.

Decided to go to Store beach a great little beach accessible only by water. Looked up ways to get there and a helpful blog post suggested hiring kayaks from Manly Kayak Centre. I remember seeing the hire shop on the wharf next to the pub and was greeted by some young staff. They were helpful and gave me a map and showed me the do's and dont's for safety reasons. Life jacket each and a dri sack to put our bag and we were off. Great service and a nice day exploring Quarantine Bay, and Store Beach. Were hoping to see penguins but they are elusive. Maybe next time

For an individual kayak, one hour was $25, 2hrs $40, and 3hrs $45. We opted for 2hrs each, which was perfect for visiting the 3 beaches nearby (sort of). They have twin kayaks and paddleboards too but i couldn't comment on prices. We left all our stuff with the staff and just took sun cream, water and a towel with us. The three beaches were really nice & the secluded one was absolutely amazing. Definitely something we will do again. We had no idea of time while we were out, and discovered we were actually out for 2hrs 30mins but nobody said anything when we returned!

Located at Manly Wharf the Kayak and Paddle Board centre is very laid back. They have lots of equipment for hire and can also provide tuition. I tried a SUP ( stand up paddle board). Great quality and easy to use, I was up and away no problem. Staff very helpful in a laid back Aussie way- " no worries mate".
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours in advance of the start date of the experience.
