This was a fantastic tour - Graeme’s knowledge, passion and enthusiasm for the history of Adelaide was so good we joined his tour of North Adelaide houses tour the following day. We highly recommend this tour to understand Adelaide.

Maria_T October 2021

This was an excellent tour. Graeme was very informative and knowledgeable on the history of the buildings and Adelaide itself. My husband and I learned so much .it is not fast paced so suitable for everyone. Highly recommend it

Graeme our tour guide was exceptional and gave us a memorable tour of Adelaide's finest Cultural Buildings. We highly recommend.

Learning about and seeing some of the historical buildings and the stories behind them. Gives a little more insight into Adelaide.

A very knowledgeable and engaging tour guide. If you are looking for a tour takes you through Adelaide city, then I would recommend this. Timing of the tour was on point, we learnt many different interesting facts. Graeme was exceptionally accomodating and factual, he left us all with a smile. Satisfied with the tour and pricing schedule. Not as much walking as expected so therefore everyone could do it. Would recommend.

Yesterday we went on the walking tour and our guide was Graham. We had a wonderful experience. Graham is passionate about his home town of Adelaide and his knowledge of every area we covered was extraordinary. We found out things, that had we not gone on the tour, we would not have known without Grahams insight. It was also an easy walk so anyone could do it. Well worth it. I will be recommending to my friends when they visit Adelaide. Keep up the good work Graham. thank you Sandra and Kevin

Friendly informative tour guide made for a very interesting walk to see well chosen sites. We are locals and still learned things we did not know. Great idea for a present. Thanks Graeme for the insightful tour.

Graham, our tour guide, was informative, interesting and attentive to the group's interests and questions. I have been to Adelaide many times over the past 25 years, but I still learned a lot about it's history, architecture and culture. Thank you Graham, really enjoyed your tour.

Super knowledgable host - Graeme Flanning will take you down North Terrace where you’ll find most historic buildings of which he can cite the how and when these buildings were all built. By who and then what these buildings were all used for over their time. Adelaide has a super interesting backstory with lots of integration to create the city we come to visit today. However, I found it sometimes difficult to keep up with all the information Graeme could offer. Maybe its just that I retain information better when read rather than heard or maybe there was simply too much to share in such a short time frame. I wouldn’t have minded taking the walk a little further through the city to see more, rather than hearing too much. I also wish I had been walked through the history of the land’s usage by the Indigenous custodians of the land, but I was informed that it was the Kuarna people, that took care of the land before explorers came to take it away. In my opinion, this information is just as important to share with those visiting as is how the city was drawn up and by who and then how it was named. On another note, not entirely relevant - I found it quite preposterous that we felt the need to create big shrines for people such as King Edward VII who never even visited Adelaide and yet we can hardly acknowledge the land for what it was before it was all settled into blocks of infrastructure. But that doesn’t speak for the tour itself. All up, I had a lovely afternoon with Graeme, I only wish I could have better been able to keep up and retain all the information he was able to offer.

An excellent tour. Well-paced and just the right amount of information. I loved going off the Main Street - something I would not necessarily do by myself.

Graeme was fantastic! He gave so much detail about the city and its history. Showed me some sites tucked away behind other buildings that I probably would have missed. Definitely a tour worth taking.

Great walking history tour with Graeme Fanning. Very informative and interesting information, you do not get from a guide book. Worth it.

Absolutely fantastic tour by our very knowledgeable and personable host Graeme. So much history and insight that even us locals weren't aware of. Thoroughly recommended.

Graeme is an extremely pleasant and knowledge guide. We learnt many things about the history of Adelaide, and saw North Terrace through new eyes after his explanations of the buildings, statues and public art. I would highly recommend this tour to both locals and tourists.

What a fabulous two hours. I lived in Adelaide for many years and have returned as a tourist for a week with my husband. We booked this tour to give my husband an appreciation of Adelaide history and architecture. Graeme was so wonderful - knowledgable - insightful and easy to get along with. I enjoyed every part of our time together and learnt so much about Adelaide I did not know. And the buildings were stunning. I would recommend Graeme to ANYONE. Please book. You will not be disappointed.

Had a wonderful walking tour of North Terrace with Graeme, who was incredibly knowledgeable about Adelaide. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring a little bit of our home town and learning the history of some of the lovely old buildings that we pass every day and even some hidden nooks and crannies that we didn't know were there! Only wish it could have been longer, as Graeme was a hive of in fascinating Adelaide facts! Thanks Graeme, were looking forward to booking the Victoria Square tour soon.

I highly recommend this easy walking tour along Adelaide’s north terrace where you hear & see so much history and stories regarding all the lovely buildings & memorials there. It’s interesting, comprehensive, and Graham the guide (born & bred in Adelaide) is so friendly & knowledgable. It’s a slow walk with regular stops. An absolute must-do for sightseers! Very worth the time to gain so many insights into Adelaide’s history. Informative and fun.

During our holidays in Adelaide we did tours with Graeme - one around North Terrace and another around The Square - both were really interesting and Graham gave us a brilliant historical perspectives on all the landmarks. We highly recommend both tours and appreciated hearing so much information about the rich history of Adelaide from such a pleasant articulate man - thanks Graeme.

Gabri January 2020

Thoroughly enjoyed the tour, Graeme accommodated us by doing it on a hot summer afternoon, that being our only available time. We highly recommend it to all 1st time visitors! Graeme was very knowledgeable, professional and fun.

What a terrific morning we had along NorthTerrace. The insights and stories behind South Australias buildings, history and people was fascinating. Will definitely be doing more tours.

Konie December 2019

We usually spend time in North Terrace when we visit Adelaide, but Graeme gave us a whole new perspective on the buildings & history of the area. Apart from us not recognising him as our guide, the tour went without a hitch. We'll definitely do another tour with Graeme when we are next in Adelaide for the Pink Ball Test.

Really enjoyed this tour, and appreciated it being run even though I was the only booking. Graeme was very knowledgeable and provided many interesting details about the places and people (well, statues or former occupants etc) we saw. I hadn’t done a walking tour before, but am glad I did. Highly recommended.

katiesee November 2019

We both thoroughly enjoyed what was actually a private tour with Graeme last week. He is a local guy with a vast knowledge of the history of Adelaide. The weather was average, very windy and showery however, armed with umbrellas, we set off and learned a lot about the beautiful old buildings that dominate the North Terrace precinct. When we return to this stylish city we will take further tours with Graeme as we enjoyed this one so much.
