Incredible day. Wonderful guide. More than I expected with the scenery and the wildlife. Totally recommend.

Julene_C October 2021

What a great tour. We came from Qld for a 2 week holiday and I must say, this has been our favourite area yet. Our guide I think Mel? Was brilliant the information and experience she gave us was above 100%. Thank you we will be back.

I went with a friend in this tour, and it was money well spent! Our guide Nathan was excellent - he was very knowledgeable about Tasmania’s history, and took us on some great walks. It was still fairly cold this time of year, and their was still snow on the ground which was really cool! Highly recommend this tour!

Ben was our tour guide - he an amazing, knowledgeable, professional and just the best! Couldn't have had a better day :) ! Thanks Ben!

Thank goodness it had recently snowed as we found that to be the only exciting part of this trip. We understood that we may not have been able to reach Dove Lake, however, we were led to believe that the 'alternative' would not disappoint. It did.

My husband and I did this tour in June. We loved every minute of it. Ben our tour guide was amazing. His knowledge was outstanding. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone. Dave and Shelley

Weather condition was prefect when I was there with the mountain in clear view in the backdrop. It's such a beautiful place with a unique ecosystem. This is a great introductory tour to casual travelers and for those visiting the park for the first time. For avid adventurers, this isn't for you. You'll need at least a few days camping here to truly appreciate what nature has to offer. Ben's a great guide who prioritizes everyone's safety. His knowledge in nature and the Tasmanian history is abundant. Definitely recommended.

The guide had a very good knowledge of all that area and the aboriginal background very interesting walk at Dove Lake was lovely Lunch at the little cottage was lovely as well it was a very relaxing enjoyable day The cheese factory on the way back into Launceston was a lovely stop over

This tour is for people who haven’t hired a car or are elderly/over 40. honestly cradle mountain needs a few days to explore - there is huge national parks/water falls/lakes so close. this tour you see very little and only get entry for 30 minutes. 8 hours driving back roads through all towns to get there, views are great but hire a car and go yourself tours like this are a waste of money unless you physically can’t drive/don’t have a car.

Wee had a very knowledgeable guide. Thae walking experience was great. The simple lunch in the hut brought back memories from mountain hikes in my childhood. Finally having the privilege of walking through a time capsule of plants and learning that these plants go back millions of years was amazing. The other stops showed another side of Tassie

very knowledgeable driver with passion for the area. would hve liked to had a 15 min coffee break at Shiefield so we would not have had to hang out till lunch at close to 2 pm.

Enjoyed the tour, however as it was overcast and didn't see too much of cradle mountain. Ben was great tour guide and a wealth of knowledge. He really made the day memorable. Thanks Ben!

Ben's commentary and encyclopaedic knowledge of the flora/fauna/history of Cradle Mountain National park and Northern Tasmania was a highlight of the tour for me. Really loved the walk/talk through Waldheim Chalet and the ancient forest behind it. Was even able to give us good restaurant recommendations for a variety of cuisines/price ranges on the drive home. Couldn't help but feel a little bit underwhelmed by Dove Lake/Cradle Mountain, mostly due to weather and the trail rather than the quality of tour. I would strongly suggest bringing extra food/snacks onto the trip - "Delicious Lunch including Tasmanian Meats and Cheese" is technically correct, but realistically is just a tasty but small roll from a deli in Sheffield. I would also suggest allocating some more time to Sheffield Murals, this would give some travellers a chance to have a bit of a gander at the town and enjoy a coffee or grab an extra sandwich. Overall, breaks in between were well spaced but felt a little bit rushed.

The tour was ok, guide was good. Considering this trip starts early there is no provision for even a quick breakfast stop.. the tour guide was adamant on just 10 mins break, it felt like was rainy so the views were also not great..but a good lunch and other spots could have improved it heavily. I could not understand the point of stopping on raspberry farm for 15 mins there is nothing much you can do in that time..better to skip. Overall looked like a rushed trip don't recommend for family looking to explore the place with flexibility.

The hike around dove lake was spectacular. Our guide was a wealth of knowledge (Ben). We would definitely recommend this trip.

Absolutely LOVED this tour. We normally hire a car and see the sights ourselves, but due to no rentals being available we ended up doing tours......which worked out SO much better because it allowed my husband to see the beautiful landscape as well. There's so much to see, and our driver Ben (from Get Your Guide), was a wealth of information. We can highly recommend this tour and would definitely do it again. The Waldheim Chalet and park was the biggest suprise. The moss forest was breathtaking. We had the best time, even though it was a drizzling most of the day. The only unfortunate thing was the Cheese factory was closed (due to renovations) but Ben took us to a Raspberry farm which was just as wonderful. A tour definitely worth doing.

The Good, Our tour guide Ben was amazing, His knowledge of Tasmanian history was remarkable and very enjoyable. To hear his commentary. The weather was so picturesque having snowed the previous day made for breathtaking views and photos. The not so good!!! I was extremely disappointed what was offered for lunch. Lunch was had at 1pm after we had completed our walk. Whilst the one roll was nice I found this insufficient. Especially considering that there was no opportunity for morning tea, which I would have been happy to pay for, had we been given enough time. My suggestion is to extend the 10 minute toilet pitstop to a 20 minute morning tea break at Cradle Mountain visitor centre and allow people to purchase morning tea prior to the hike.

Absolutely wonderful , the most beautiful scenery, our guide Ben was knowledgeable, courteous and passionate, would highly recommend this tour to anyone

Wonderful experience, nice view at the Dove lake. Punctual trip and lovely commentary during the trip.

Georgia_H April 2021

The Marion lookout was amazing! Ben was very knowledgeable and the raspberry farm was the best! Recommend it.

Hassan_M April 2021

Had a memorable day with Ben who was our guide and driver. Took about 2 hours from Launceston to get to Cradle Mountain with a stop at Sheffield. The weather was perfect although chilly. The scenery was breathtaking and we did the short tour mindful of the time. Ben was excellent in his knowledge and his demeanour. Highly recommend and a must do tour in Tasmania

Jenny_C April 2021

Our tour leader, Will, was incredible. He was really funny and energetic and shared loads of information about Tasmania's history and about the Cradle mountain. Our lunch order seemed to have been misplaced or forgotten and Will went above and beyond to make sure we had a meal. He's also really good at taking photos! My partner and I are not usually ones to take tours, but this trip changed that. Huge thanks to Will and the team for this fantastic experience!

John E March 2021

This full day tour to Cradle Mountain was a " cracker ". The content was just right combined with the highly knowledgeable tour guide Will who truly made the experience memorable. Missed stopping at Ashgrove Cheese factory due to business closed for renovations and substituted Christmas Hills berry farm and close by Van Dieman Creamery serving the best ice cream Yummy!! Thank you once again Will.
