We thoroughly enjoyed this day in the Daintree Rainforest and on the Daintree River. A definite highlight was the Solar Whisper Crocodile and Wildlife cruise where we saw crocodiles and birds in their natural habitat. The small group was great and our overall guide Shane was knowledgeable and helpful.

James_D November 2021

Mick was an amazing tour guide he kept it interesting and the company of everyone else made for an amazing day. The weather was great and the scones and barramundi were amazing. Loved the sightseeing and we learnt a lot as well about the history of the daintree etc.

I chose the day tour provided by Tony's Tropical Tours. Our tour guide was Steve and we had a small group of 7 travelling in a comfortable van. I learnt a lot that day thanks to Steve's extensive knowledge of the environment and its ecology. Steve pointed out several types of insects, reptiles, bird and plant life with passion (almost as passionate as our late Steve Irwin). Steve was very mindful of COVID related circumstances, time frames and everyone's comfort zones. We had a lovely morning tea before boarding our Daintree River Cruise where we spotted two crocodiles, one aptly named Scarface. Our lunch was cooked in time for our arrival at a private rainforest property within the Noah Valley - we were the only group. I had the grilled Coral Trout fish which I highly recommend. After the lunch there was time for a swim in the safe end of the Noah Valley river - beautiful spot. On the way back from Cape Tribulation to Port Douglas we stopped at Daintree Ice Cream for a treat - very unique flavours you cannot miss out. Overall a fantastic day had by all I'm sure. Thanks Steve.

This is a great tour covering a full day. Our guide and driver Steve had excellent knowledge and commentary (although he needs to work on his dad jokes!) and he has a great rapour with the staff at the places we visited. The small bus is very comfortable and it was great to get to know the other travellers. Be prepared for a FULL day, and take mosquito repellant. Highly recommend if you want to see all the sights of the Daintree in one day.

I highly recommend this tour. Everything was covered and we saw some amazing sights. Our coach driver and tour guide ‘Steve’ had the best sense of humour and was a wealth of knowledge. Our day included a beautiful lunch in the most picturesque and peaceful setting. The best chocolate and hazelnut ice cream I have every tasted and lots of breathtaking views with loads of photo opportunities. Thanks for making my visit to Cairns a memorable one

Swimming and the walk at Mossman Gorge The views from the lookouts were great as well The cruise on the Daintree was interesting especially if you haven’t seen crocs up close

Leah_O September 2021

Our guide, Mick, looked after us well and was full of interesting information. The food was really good and we both enjoyed seeing crocodiles on the river cruise, which was a highlight. All-in-all a great day.

Pam_M September 2021

Steve was very knowledgeable and made our day a happy one! Spectacular viewing and lucky cassawary sighting.

shanynn2017 September 2021

We had an absolutely amazing time with Steve and are so glad we went on the tour. Steve’s commentary was unmatched; he was interesting, knowledgeable and funny. He knew so much about the area and showed us places off the beaten track. Even after the tour ended my partner and I were still talking about Steve’s stories and insights. Ten out of ten tour and would recommend the tour and Steve to anyone!

Claire_B September 2021

Beautiful mossman gorge, stunning daintree rainforest, amazing lunch at Daintree Tearooms, wonderful rainforest beach at Cape Trib, and throughout the really entertaining and informative monologue from Steve

What a fantastic day in the oldest rainforest on Earth! Made even more special by the informative narrative from our guide Steve. His passion for the forest is evident and made the experience so much more meaningful. Highlight for me was a chilly swim at Mossman Gorge....invigorating!! The lunch was delicious, but agree w others, cut the fruit lecture! A great way to see an extraordinary part of this planet. Thanks Steve!!

We had a terrific time yesterday. Steve was a magnificent host, very knowledgeable, packed in a lot. Weather could of been better, got very windy, but we still had a terrific time. Rainforest is truly remarkable, saw plenty of crocodiles on Daintree River and Mossman Gorge was stunning. A great tour, well worth doing.

This tour was absolutely fantastic. The bus driver/tour guide was very informativ and professional. The bus comfortable and clean. Small group sizes. The highlight on this day was definitely the river cruise at the Daintree river, we saw so many crocodiles, a tree snake and a lot of birds. I enjoyed this tour very much - thank you.

I had a fantastic day with discovery tours Australia Last Friday! You get to see so many beautiful places within a day: view point in Port Douglas, Mossman Gorge (with morning tea there), lunch in Daintree in a beautiful restaurant, Daintree river (the cruise was the highlight of the day for me, truly magical!), Cape tribulation... what a beautiful day in the rainforest. It is very enjoyable to have a tour with a small group, it feels very private. Highly recommended! Thank you all for this beautiful and memorable day.

This was the run buy discovery tours and was great. It is a big day about 12 hrs return from Cairns but you pack a lot in. Simon our guide was great, very knowledgeable & friendly. We swam at the Barron river George, saw crocodiles in the Draintree river, looked for Cassowaries and had delicious lunch featuring tropical fruit accompanied by an interesting commentary. Small tour group, comfortable transport, beautiful part of the world highly recommended

bethanylou July 2021

I had been recommended to use discovery tours for a tour to Mossman Gorge, Daintree and Cape Tribulation. Was not disappointed. This tour was a small group of 8 which was great. Steve our guide was amazing and had so much local knowledge. Stop off at Mossman for hot damper and cream and jam ,tea and coffee was yum!! Then on to the gorge which was also very good. Lunch was soooo good fresh barramundi and tropical fruits, there was other options available to suit everyone. Then on to the cruise. The cruise on the Daintree was through a company that had a solar powered boat so nice and quiet through the river which enabled us to get so close to the crocs. There was also lots of birds around which our guide was happy to stop and get photos...Our guide again was so knowledgeable.. then on to Cape Tribulation which was very scenic. Another stop to an ice cream shop with so many delicious options. Last call was to watch the sun set on the scenic drive home at Rex lookout. Although this day was long it was very good value and would recommend. .thanks again to Steve amazing tour guide...

Gino_G July 2021

AVOID!!!! Jumping onto the tour bus with full excitement & reasonable expectations, I returned back to my hotel with exhaustion and disappointment. Here are some of the few things I was dissatisfied with: 1. The rude tour guide who always wanted to rush: After breakfast, not being advised of the departure time, I went to the loo and came back "late" to the van, the tour guide greeted me with an unnecessary side-eye. After spending $5 on one of the worst ice creams I've ever had in my life, (with an unreasonable $0.5 surcharge if you are an unlucky guy like me who never carries cash with him living in the 21st century), the tour guide drove us to a "viewpoint" where half of the view was blocked by trees. We were told to "chill" with the ice cream and enjoy the "view" for a while, however not even after 2 mins at the location, the exhausted tour guide started rushing everyone back to the van. At that time, most of the people haven't even finished a quater of their overpriced ice cream. He agreed to stay for 5 more minutes with the detests from most of the people. Most of us ended up returning to the van with their ice cream unfinished. 2. Lunch was disgusting. Chips were unsalted, unflavoured, and cold in very small portions. The menu says there will be a glass of wine served with all choice of meal, guess what, it never happened. Seriously tho Nobody gave a flying **** about the history or stories about fruit, we are here to see the scenery and learn knowledge about the tropical rainforest, cut it off. 3. One of the ladies felt ill and the tour guide doesn't even have Panado or a first aid kit in his van, she had to ask around for something so basic. There are lots more..... I have spoken to a few other people from the same group and everyone experiences the same. One star is a total fair rating for this tour.

sitcomboy July 2021

A wonderful day-long small group tour with a very knowledgeable guide/driver. Fantastic opportunities to get up close to the ancient Daintree Forest and stunning coastal vistas.

susanna_b July 2021

The whole tour was absolutely beautiful, the Daintree River cruise and the crocodiles was definitely the highlight. The tour operator was very knowledgeable and informative.

Extraordinary85978 July 2021

This trip and the tour company was recommended to me and they exceeded my high expectations. Simon the tour guide has a wealth of knowledge and very informative and interesting to listen to. Definitely the highlight of my trip to Cairns.

Wendy_T July 2021

What an amazing day. Our guide Karsten was simply the best, he was so knowledgeable & looked after everyone & everything. Mark our guide on the Daintree River Cruise was so so good. He had all the info we needed and is an asset for the business. The lunch at The Daintree Tree House was just excellent. The food was great and we learnt about native fruits was unbelievable. Well worth the money.
