Wade May 2021

This is a MUST NOT MISS place to visit. Taking the guided tour was perfect, picked up on time from hotel, nice picnic stop mid morning, tour the back streets, lighthouse tour, stops at Bruny cheese and beer factory, excellent lunch at Hotel Bruny included, many other stops on the way. Our tour guide Nigel was excellent, he went above and beyond what we expected.

Absolutely love the trip. The view from the top of the lighthouse is amazing. Nice food too. Definitely recommended!

Patricia P May 2021

Our tour was great fun and Grant, our tour guide was exceptionally knowledgeable plus very organised. Everything was prompt and as promised and Bruny Island is truly beautiful. We could have done with a little more morning tea. It seemed we had lots of oyster lovers in our group that day. The Lighthouse tour was also wonderful...amazing views, but then all of Tasmania is stunning. We loved it and will recommend Bruny Island Safaris for this fact I already have. Thank you very much. Regards Patricia and Franca (2 sisters) plus my brother David and wife Lori...we had a ball,

Just a great day trip out from Hobart. Had a lovely picnic on the beach with some local oysters, bread, and cheese. Saw some local wildlife including albino wallabies. A unique tour of the lighthouse and a great view from the top (hold onto your hats - very gusty!). Fantastic lunch at the Bruny Hotel. Driver / tour guide was consistently funny and interesting. Well worth the money!

Gai April 2021

What a wild, windy, beautiful place. The tour was fabulous. Freshly shucked oysters and local cheeses at Resolution Bay. Divine Seafood Chowder at the pub after a bracing walk up to the Bruny Island Lighthouse. Grant, our driver was knowledgeable and humorous, the perfect host. I highly recommend this tour to everyone coming to this part of the world.

mcarrick April 2021

The best part of the day would have to be Rick the guide!
lovely bloke and absolutely full of knowledge and pleasantness.
its a long day, but well worth it.
two important things to consider 1. Under no circumstances attempt to use- whats laughingly called toilets- at the Lighthouse. Rick did warn us to use earlier ones and he was right !! They could well be the worst ones I have ever seen in the world . The fumes were probably a considerable health hazard.
2. Make sure you order the lamb at the pub lunch and not the seafood plate. It was very underwhelming for a seafood destination.
However, morning tea of cheeses and fresh bread and oysters were a standout.
BIS are a very good company to deal with and communication was excellent. Thank you Craig and Rick.

Delia April 2021

Absolutely loved the view from the top of the lighthouse - spectacular! Our trip covered most of the island with a great range of stops for views and food - especially the Bruny Hotel lunch.

sueandphil3451 April 2021

Rick was a great tour guide. His local knowledge and experience were invaluable. We were able to visit all the best attractions on the island due to being on a smaller bus (20 seater) rather than a big coach.
One suggestion - get the guide to mix up the seating on the bus at the lunch break so the same people are not stuck down the back all day.

Gayle D March 2021

Had a great day and surprisingly large island . A lot of miles covered so you spend a fair bit of time of the bus . Rick our guide was fantastic and bring a local of Bruni he new his stuff .

Kelly J March 2021

Great day, oysters were amazing and lunch was really good..only criticism is ...because it's a long time driving ,i feel bottled water should have been provided as morning tea was a few hours after we started and there was no where to buy drinks and we'd already finished what we had taken...not too much given what we paid to provide bottled water.

Jonn H March 2021

Great guide and plenty to see on a day with miserable weather. Rick is a local and plenty of knowledge of the area.

Mark G March 2021

From start to finish this was an exceptional tour! Our guide Rick was so knowledgeable, friendly, funny and a great guy. He went above and beyond ti ebsure everyone had a great time.

Maria C March 2021

This was such a lovely experience. We had a great time. The tour guide Rick was very good and he knows so much about the island. He answered all our questions and he was a superb host. I would highly recommend this tour. Love the Vanilla ice cream with honey from the Honey farm we visited and the hand cream with Myrtle lemon, so nice and not greasy on the skin. Everything was fantastic, you cannot miss this tour when you visit Tasmania.

Vicki H March 2021

Rick was amazing, so knowledgeable and entertaining. Great commentary and excellent stops. Well worth organising the day out, sit back and relax while someone does the driving. Hotel Bruny meal was so tasty as well

Cheryle J February 2021

great day out. the island itself is lovely and well worth a visit, but what we enjoyed most was the tour - the guide kept us entertained and well fed with oysters, cheese, a delicious lunch and fudge sampling. the lighthouse tour was a highlight; as was the honey ice cream and the yummy cherry cider - which unfortunately we can't seem to purchase online or in store (QLD)

thanks for the memories, we will be back again soon!

Carmel D February 2021

Stopping at the beach with picturesque 2 trees and having those wonderful oysters and artisan cheeses

Gail C February 2021

Would highly recommend this tour. Gemma our guide was very informative and very friendly. We had a fun filled day visiting all places we could possibly see in one day. The sights and food was amazing. It was also pleasant to have our group getting on so well and having a good laugh. Thankyou to Gemma for a remarkable and memorable day.

Mollie C February 2021

Such a well curated tour. Grant was very knowledgeable, the food was amazing and all pit stops were beautiful! I especially loved the oyster picnic by the beach.

Karen S March 2020

I had an amazing day, the guided tour was fantastic, super friendly! Everything was really good, mainly the food we tasted from local producers! I highly recommend this tour!!

Phillip M March 2020

Fantastic day trip from Hobart - highly recommended if you have a spare day in Hobart. Jemma was a great host and guide providing lots of information and history of the island as well as amending where we went to suit. Great lunch at the Bruny Hotel as well as cider tastings and a private tour of the Bruny Lighthouse. A tip - For those who like whisky, the Hounds Tooth Whisky Distillery is right next to the Bruny Island Chocolate Company!!
