My girlfriend and I went on tour with Alexander on a chilly but beautiful Wednesday morning I February. We were very excited about the first stop and delighted to experience the animals in the wild life park before everyone else. From here on, the weather conditions changed for the worse which resulted in an interesting trip, but not as scenic as expected. You could tell the trip was made for good weather conditions which obviously not implied a rainy and foggy Wednesday. I believe that if the weather would have been great, we would have loved the tour even more. Alexander did a nice job as our guide and knew everything and explained things thoroughly and understandable. The lunch was great! The rating is inky tour starts because it seemed like there wasn't any "plan b" when most of the trip was covered in fog. Would recommend everyone and anyone to do this trip!

highlight of my week in Sydney. Picked up nice and early. Had little picnic before heading off on walk. Was just lush and peaceful away from where all the normal tourists head to. Tour guide Carlos was fabulous and had great knowledge. Read up on what is involved, we were unfortunate to have had someone who was very unfit and slowed group down a little although this did allow us to see the stunning scenery along way. Stopped and had little break under s cliff looking out over the blue mountains, snacks provided by tour provider, continued with walk to beautiful waterfall and washed face in water to cool down. Stopped for great lunch in little cafe, Turkish bread sandwiches freshly made. Then had drive to couple more lookouts again away from where all the tour drives go to see 3 sisters. Lovely drive back to Perth through some of towns in blue mountains. Would highly recommend booking this tour

There were only 4 of us in our group which was nice. We visited the Featherdale Animal Sancuary and fed the wallabies. We managed to see the Blue Mountains despite the smoke from the bush fires. Our guide was very informative. The scenery was absolutely stunning. We did a hike, which was described as easy to moderate, my husband and I are fairly fit but I would describe this as moderate to hard. Towards the end of the hike it is mostly uphill (alot of steps) and in the heat and after over an hour of hiking took its toll. Also we hadn't eaten since our breakfast at our hotel before pickup at 0720, it was now 1300 so I would suggest you take plenty of snacks and water with you. However, the views along the route were amazing and we were rewarded with a lovely picnic at the end. This is a full day and well worth it.

Despite a cloudy day the tour was fantastic. Jelle was incredibly interesting and knowledgeable about the history of locations and the country together with the wildlife in the mountains. There were only four of us in the tour and he ensured each of us enjoyed our tour. Lunch was simple, in a cafe because of the weather. The walking was undemanding but probably needed to cope with all abilities. Would highly recommend this tour and particularly the guide.

Thank you Jelle, Dingo Tours for selecting a route that provided a great personal experience of this beautiful place. We enjoyed the historical and cultural commentary and music along the way. Birds, plants, some hiking and a picnic away from crowds, with only one day to see the Blue Mountains, this trip was ideal.

Octavio_B October 2019

Our guide, Charlie is an excellent guide. He is very knowledgeable about the area. This tour can be flexible with what the group wants to do. Highly recommended.

My tour was cancelled 3 days before the tour date and I was offered an option which was not at all comparable to the tour which I had booked. Cancelling the tour, because I was the only one signed up, is understandable but a bit more notice of cancellation would have been better because I was left at the last minute looking for a tour which covered the points that this tour was going to cover.

Teodora T April 2019

The tour was excellent and we had a fantastic day. Jelle, our tour guide, is extremely knowledgeable in many different fields and in one day we learned so much about the significance and history of the locations we were visiting, the Australian culture, and the local flora and fauna. It's worth going on this tour just to hear those stories. We visited the Featherdale wildlife park before there were any other visitors and had plenty of time to enjoy the company of friendly kangaroos, which didn't mind being pet. We visited many different locations around the Blue Mountains, saw stunning views and were taken to viewing locations that avoided the big crowds. We had picnic for lunch, which included tasty gourmet sandwiches, fruits and drinks. In summary, we had a great time and would whole heartedly recommend this tour.

Bennochy April 2019

An excellent tour in perfect weather - we were lucky! A little late with the pickup (our guide apologised) but otherwise good pace, no rush. Our guide was quite knowledgeable and especially helpful to me on the hike around the Undercliff at Wentworth Falls. Lunch and other refreshments were very good, just as described. Our only criticism would be that the hike was much more demanding than we anticipated - better online description please!

My wife and I did this tour and enjoyed all of it. First off our lodging was a bit off normal”pickup” route. We had option to pay an extra $40 to be picked up right at our place (worth it to us as we aren’t yet familiar with public transport and would have had to get up very early). Second off our guide Tony was very knowledgeable and amiable. Kept tour moving very efficiently. The cost is moderately high ($385.00 for two adults) but there is a lot packed into day. We also had to pay additional $43 pp for sky cable car (but worth it, not sure why wasn’t included). Cost includes light coffee:tea stop early on and decent lunch. One big plus was we had small group, eleven total. Much better than one of the standard huge buses. Activities included time at Scenic world (with three “rides” and nice walk), very well done movie-live actors summarizing Australia history, a couple of bush walks (amazing views over Blue Mountains), and finally Featherdale Wildlife Park. Great diversity of native species on display. We would highly recommend this tour.

ziopao September 2018

We were very happy with our tour: we saw wild cangaroos and kookaburras, hiked and visit Featherdale. Jelle is very informative and patient. He managed a difficult day with a group from 12 to 86 year old, proposing the right activities for each of us. Highly recommended!!

balt_more September 2018

Really great tour—a highlight of our trip to Australia. Tour guide, Adam, was very informative and entertaining. Highly recommend this tour!

July 2018

Cool day in the mountains. Blue sky with terrific views. Amazing lunch and a terrific guide. Back in Sydney with a lot of memories

palfrey313 April 2018

Excellent tour and Jelle was a great host. His knowledge of the local area and its plants birds and animals really increased our enjoyment of the day. We went to some fabulous locations off the main tourist spots and the views of the blue mountains were spectacular. Would highly recommend this trip.

Robert S March 2018

Great tour. Went with Jelle, who runs The Dingo Tours operation. Lovely chap, very knowledgeable about the area, fauna and flora and Australian history. Only 5 of us on the tour. Started with early entry into Featherdale wildlife park which allowed us up close contact with the animals. The coach parties were just starting to arrive as we left. On to a really nice walk around Wentworth falls, then Three sisters viewpoint, then Pulpit Rock, each time avoiding the coach tours. Fantastic views at each location and nice picnic lunch. Back via 30 minute stop at the Botanic gardens arriving in Sydney at 5:30pm. Loved it.

Robert A March 2018

A really good day which we had to ourselves because of a previous cancellation. A good pace throughout the day and we were able to finesse the schedule.

Joan L March 2018

Had a wonderful day! There were 10 people total on the tour the van was roomy and comfortable Steven was our tour guide and did a great job! we went first to Featherdale Wildlife Park - saw crocodile, koala bears, kangaroos, birds, wombats, bats, dingo's emu's, etc. I was able to pet the kangaroos and cockatoo. We went to two overlooks - Gordon Overlook and Three Sisters We deleted to hike with picnic lunch - magnificent views! Exhausting, but well worth it. We walked/hiked for about 1.5 hours. The last part was 427 steps straight up! Saw lizards, birds, and ant hills! The views were breathtaking after that experience we headed to the Botanical Gardens - beautiful flowers/views/ and had a couple glasses of champagne A perfect day!

NickyP54 January 2018

After investigating organising our own day visit to the Blue Mountains using public transport, we decided it would more beneficial to go on a group trip instead and were so pleased we chose Dingo's Small-Group Insider Tour, despite the cost being slightly more than what looked to be other similar offerings. Our driver guide Jelle was an excellent host and it was clear to see from the off that he had a) put considerable thought into planning the itinerary to avoid the crowds and b) had both a great love and knowledge of the fauna, flora and culture of the area. We visited Featherdale WildlifeCentre before official opening time, the beautiful Wentworth Falls in the Jamison Valley, Three Sisters, had a picnic lunch at the stunning Pulpit Rock and wandered through the picturesque Botanic Gardens. The circular route involved a mixture of short hikes interspersed with scenic drives that captured the majesty and serenity of key sections of this huge National Park. Jelle seemed to be toying with the idea of dropping Featherdale from future tours. Being Aussie residents ,we had seen quite bit of the indigenous wildlife either in the wild or in captivity at larger centres before, but I can see the attraction for overseas visitors, despite the likely crowds. Whatever the future format, I would highly recommend this particular tour as a convenient and insightful way of exploring this stunningly beautiful area.

cindy7650 January 2018

Hiking, history, birding, lesser-trodden paths, breathtaking views - all in one day. Jelle does an extraordinary job of exposing you to a country, its peoples and its landscape. The tour begins with a visit to Featherdale before the crowds arrive; it’s both animal park and sanctuary, with Australia’s best-known animals and birds in little or no confinement. During our hike in the Blue Mountains, picnic lunch, and visit to the Botanic(al) Gardens, we identified more than a dozen species of birds. A quite large blue-tongued skink joined us for lunch, hanging out around the picnic table in peaceful co-existence the entire time. Jelle is an obvious nature lover with a keen eye and astute observations. If you’re looking for an intimate tour with an experienced guide, this one’s for you.

BeeksTX January 2018

We booked the small-group insider tour of the Blue Mountains for our family of four months in advance of our arrival in Sydney. The day before we confirmed with the owner Jelle and he offered to pick us up at our hotel in Coogee to make things convenient and easy for us—he also dropped us off there at the end of the tour. From the start, Jelle’s energy and excitement for the tour was better at bringing me out of my usual morning fog better than any cup of coffee I’ve ever had. He was full of information about Sydney, what we were driving by, etc., as well as full of questions about how we wanted to spend OUR day together. This customization on-the-fly was a differentiating factor from other small group tours I’ve been on in the past. Jelle wanted to make sure we got the tour experience that most suited our interests, physical abilities, etc. We saw all of the significant sites at the different stops, and Jelle peppered us with facts, stories, and local lore about them as well as the surrounding plants and wildlife. There is a fair amount of driving on this tour, which can be a drag if your driver isn’t constantly making you laugh or keeping you on the edge of your seat with the legend of the Three Sisters. This tour was fantastic. I highly recommend!

bbzura December 2017

Highly recommend the small group tour. We had total of 5 people including us. View of waterfall was amazing and lunch was delicious. Do not hesitate to book.

Lesley B October 2017

We had a great educational experience, saw kangaroos up close in the wild and the Three Sisters in their glory....all in the time allotted! Very knowledgeable and a great sense of humour and a true passion for Australia and it's culture. We would highly recommend

anniew874 October 2017

Great visit on a beautiful sunny day in Blue Mts. Just being away from the crowds and visiting the Animal Park early and seeing Three Sisters from another location made it nice. Enjoyed our walk to Lookouts and having a picnic. Botanical Gardens had nice displays. Jelle gave much information about the mountains and the burned area. He was an entertaining guide!

Adam U October 2017

Jelle is an excellent and flexible guide with much knowledge to share. Even though we had an extremely foggy day and the views of the blue mountains were muted, he still managed to make it a fun experience all around!
