Had a great day with all the different activities and day trip was well organised, would have liked a window seat on train

manny011 February 2021

The train ride to Kuranda was a ride back in time, traveling in carriages from a long gone era with a history of the railway and the sacrifices made in its construction included for the history buffs. For an avid shutterbug like myself, it provided endless photo opportunities of the magnificent landscapes. Once in Kuranda there were so many great activities to choose from we were spoilt for choice - Butterflies, markets filled with local arts, crafts and produce, wild life, army ducks tours into the rain forest. The interactive presentation by the indigenous people of the area is something not to be missed, with traditional dancing, spear throwing demonstrations and you even get to throw a boomerang. The trip back down in the sky-rail offered spectacular panoramic views from above the rain forests to the magnificent coastline including Cairns. The guides were very informative and friendly. It was a day filled with local delights, history and activities, leaving you tired but satisfied. Definitely a trip not to be missed. October 2020

This was an excellent days outing, fun packed, interesting and informative. There was nothing we would do differently all great activities. Really well planned and organised, easy to follow, very friendly and helpful operators, highly recommend

Best day trip we took from Cairns. Scenic railway: beautiful and interesting. Kuranda itself was fun if touristy. Only spent an hour there, which was good. Rainforestation: loved it! It's why I picked this tour over others. Excellent buffet lunch (including kangaroo satays and crocodile soup). Educational and entertaining amphibious vehicle tour thru the rainforest. Interesting and fun Aboriginal demos (and trying to throw a boomerang ourselves LOL). Tour thru wildlife park, got to pet a kangaroo and wallaby. Just awesome good times! Then a beautiful and exhilarating skyrail down.

Well organized, and I thought the right amount of time was allotted for each activity. Adrian, the driver/guide was great fun. The whole day was just really, really excellent.

Bus driver was awesome, the railway had some spectacular scenery, the village was quaint, lunch was good, the native demonstrations were informative and entertaining! Skyrail was a little scary but wouldn't have missed it.

This was a very well organized tour. Very enjoyable. Nice lunch with a good selection of food. I really liked the interaction with the animals and the Kuranda show.

Amazing tour overall. Great variety of activities within one long, exciting day. I recommend going up to Kuranda by historic railway and return by incredibly scenic sky rail. The Rain Forest Station Park was a delight and includes Aboriginal activities and performance. The buffet food was enjoyable as well. My favorite part were being able to feed and pet the kangaroos and marvel at the Butterfly Pavillion!

Sky rail was cool, train was great but hot, rainforest ation was great got to hold a koala

Leslie K February 2018

This was an exceptional tour, the train was a great trip, the village was a cool place. The rainforest and duck ride was very informative and interesting. The Pamagirri Aboriginal guides were very informative and the wildlife were interesting. The Skyrail trip back was fascinating. This was well worth bearing the heat and humidity. Highly recommend it.

Great views from the Skyrail and Railway. Best of all we learned how to throw a boom-a-rang!

Super valeu a pena.

We came to Cairns only for the Great barrier reef, but only because we had no idea there was so much to do in this area! We are very glad we went on this trip. We took an old train up the mountain and saw some really neat views. We did some shopping at the shops in Kuranda before the butterfly exhibit. Then we were taken to Rainforestation where they fed us a good for a buffet meal and gave us time to take a picture with a koala or a baby croc. We then went on a Duckboat tour. The tour was very neat and informative, although I wish it were a bit longer. We then went to watch an aboriginal dance show. I didn't like the show very much as we had seen a different and better one the night before from a different company. After the show, the dancers took us to learn about a didgeridoo, throwing spears, and we even got to through a boomerang! That was great! We then got to tour the animal enclosure where they had dingos, a giant saltwater croc named Jack, and a cassowary. They even had Kangaroo and wallabies hopping around free in the main area of the enclosure. One of the best parts of the whole trip though, was saved for the end. The bus dropped us off at the Skyrail station and we took the gondola over the rainforest and down the mountain. IT WAS AMAZING! I would definitely recommend this whole trip to anyone already going to Cairns!

Great tour and great organisation.

This tour was really worth every penny spent and we did so many activities. The train ride and cable way return was both different experiences not to be missed. The butterfly park has a lot of show and so is the rainforest. The entire trip was very well organized.

A very full day with variety for everyone. Like culture? The aboriginal dances and demos were great. Animal lover? The little sanctuary had plenty of variety and holding a koala was awesome. Scenery buff? You can't beat the views from the train and the sky rail. Nature nut? The butterfly encounter was beautiful and the duck boat tour bouncy but interesting. Foodie? There is a very nice buffet with traditional and unique choices for everyone. Totally organized with a timed itinerary given to you to keep you on track. I would have loved another hour or two in Kuranda to visit the shops and the snake place but that would have made for an extremely long trip. I would definitely do this one again!

FERNANDO A April 2017

We loved the town of Kuranda, a nice surprise. Beautiful views from the Skyrain and from the train. We went on Gold Class and have a very nice and tasty snacks, and drinks.

Jaspreet M March 2017

Really is the best! We got to see so much and had fun right from the beginning!
The whole day itself was organised very well, I like that we were given a timetable and everything was very straightforward. All that we did, we enjoyed without being rushed or spending too much time in one place.

Kevin L January 2017

This was a great day trip. Our guide was informative and engaging. The train ride up was spectacular, we got to hold our first Koala, fed the kangaroos, rode in a duck, threw a boomerang, and got to watch various Aboriginal dances. We topped off the day by flying over the rainforest canopy on the Skyrail. It was a great first day trip and really set the tone for a great vacation.

stephen h January 2017

This was our 2nd visit to Kuranda. This time we did the army duck which was great fun, although it rained heavily adding to the fun. We also went around the butterfly sanctuary. Unfortunately the weather was wet and misty on our trip down on the skyrail but still a great experience

Angela D December 2016

We had a fantastic time. Would highly recommend this tour. We were looked after from the bus pick up in the morning to the drop off in the afternoon. Very impressed.

Peter F November 2016

From start to finish this was a great day out.
It was very well organised, pick up from our rental apartment, and all of the activities included in the day were first class.
The lunchtime buffet was very slick with plenty of choice, all freshly cooked and tasty.
Would highly recommend this excursion.
Thanks for a fantastic day with some great memories.
