We begin your day with a complimentary pickup and transfer from your hotel or the campground at Ayers Rock Resort for your five hour tour.  Because sunrise time changes constantly, our departure time changes every two weeks for optimal viewing.  You will learn how to safely use a segway, then enjoy a light breakfast before beginning the tour of Ayers Rock (also known as Uluru). Along the tour route, you will also see other highlights, including the Mutitjulu Waterhole.  We finish this tour at the segway base where you will be taken to the Ayers Rock Resort. From there you can pick up your transfer to your originating hotel.

Katrina July 2021

Good tour, sunrise wasn't as good as I was expecting as we were standing on the side, when Sun came up on other end. Breakfast was ok. Museli and muffins. Segways was the way to see Ayers rock, easy to ride too. Was cold being July wear a warm jacket.

Matilda was very pleasant and knowledgeable and made the Segway experience better than expected. Herself and another male staff member were very helpful in explaining how to operate the Segways which gave myself and my wife a lot of confidence.
Coffee was way better than expected and the muffins were delicious.

Our experience started with a delicious breakfast which consisted of muesli, croissants and a variety of muffins that were accompanied by hot tea, coffee and chocolate whilst watching a magnificent sunrise over Uluru and Kata Tjuta. Dietary requirements were also catered for. It was very cool so you needed to be rugged up. Then we were driven to where we collected our Segways. We were provided with knee pads, elbow pads and a helmet. A brief introductory lesson took place before we set off to circumnavigating the base of Uluru. A number of stops were made where we took photographs (when permitted to) or where our knowledgeable guide Thomas took photographs of us on our segways. Thomas also told us about some of the known aboriginal legends associated with Uluru and why it was such a special place for them. After we had finished segwaying around the base of Uluru, we walked down to the Mutitjulu Waterhole where we also saw some aboriginal rock art. The experience included a pick-up from our hotel at 6:35 am. and we were dropped back there around 12 noon.

Thomas was a wonderful tour guide. He was patient and lovely with the group, as well as knowledgeable about the area and regaled us with stories about Uluru. The experience of visiting Uluru by Segway was unparalleled; what a wonderful way to navigate the whole perimeter of the rock! Would highly recommend this activity.

Our pick up was on time, and our guides Brendon and Chris were helpful and knowledgeable
The light breakfast was cereal and muffins and croissants with tea and coffee
A wonderful way to see Uluru
The team took us through a tutorial and we practiced before setting off
Highly recommend this tour

This was the best. Loved getting around on the Segways and the info was just right. Learnt so much and had such fun. Breakfast watching the sunrise was awesome.

Judy April 2021

Thoroughly enjoyed our very early, chilly morning! Well worth it to see Uluru with both the sun coming up and a full super moon still visible. Training was quick and thorough. Thomas our guide was friendly and informative. Avoid cold croissants, muffins delicious!

Travelling the base of Uluru on segways was a really fun way to see it. Only recommendation for a better tour would be if the bus picked you up 20 to 30 minutes earlier so that you are out of the bus as the sun is rising. The tour guide provided some great information and not too much so that you got to enjoy the time looking at the scenery and scooting around on the segways. As it gets quite hot in the afternoons the sunrise tour made for the best climate to be out and about in.

The guides were great! They gave us enough time to get used to the Segways and we stopped quite often around Uluru. They were knowledgeable about the area and provided some great commentary. The breakfast would have been good, except the flies were horrible. It is a very bad year for flies and they were everywhere.

Fantastic way to circumnavigate Uluru. The guide was good fun and informative but very passionate about the rock and the indigenous people. I would highly recommend this trip.

nrdailey2001 February 2018

A great way to see Uluru. Our guide was fantastic, with lots of stories and history. So much easier than hiking around. We have been on Segways before, but his training session was excellent and no one should hestitate in cruising around the Rock. We also highly recommend doing this activity at sunrise, before it gets too hot. There is no shade to hide under.

Rathesh R April 2020

Segway Tour was a good way of seeing all of Uluru in the very hot time in March. The breakfast was good (hard to eat with the flies), and the guide was knowledgeable. As some members in our group were quite slow, we didn't get that much time at the end of our track to do more walks around mutitjulu waterhole.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours in advance of the start date of the experience.
