I knew pretty quickly this tour company had a touch of personal service when the owners, Rob and Alena, returned my call from states when I had a question specific to my booked tour. And then after our tour, when when I sent an after hours email that I’d left something on the van, they brought it back to me bright and early the next morning. That’s going the extra mile that a small owner-operated company brings to its customers.
What attracted us to Diamond Tours in the first place was that it was limited to about 12 people. And it was worth so much being in a nice Sprinter van and not being in a large 20+ person group.....especially at rest stops! And it’s so much more personal.
The tour itself was wonderful. Our guide, Rod, was knowledgeable, funny, and informative. He took us up to the Blue Mountains and other sites in the area, ending with a ferry ride home - an all day tour, with a stop for a good lunch. Overall, totally enjoyable!
Great day out with are local guide Scotty, he was brilliant good laugh and very knowledgable, there was a lot of low cloud when we arrived at viewing area for the three sisters so Scotty asked if we would like to see a water fall not on the itinerary, we all agreed and it was amazing. We visited three sisters later and they were in full view.

Lloyd was a great guide....personable, knowledgeable, funny. He took great care of us. The trip itself was fantastic. The Blue Mountains are gorgeous. Loved the cable ride, train ride and walk through the rainforest. The stop at Featherdale Wildlife Park was a treat....feeding the kangaroos and getting to see local wildlife, bonus was the picture with the koala. Highly recommended this excursion
Well worth the price
Rod was a great tour guide and driver. Knowledgable and friendly. Having a small group was perfect and sites amazing.
The tour was fantastic. Rob is a great tour guide and had a great itinerary for the day. We visited Lincoln's Rock, Featherdale Wildlife Park and Scenic World Blue Mountains. Rob is very knowledgeable and answered everyone's questions with confidence. He made suggestions for things to do and see in the Sydney area if you had extra time. The selections for our lunch stop were great and included something for everyone. Rob made sure everyone had a great time and communicated with all passengers equally. We highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Sydney.
The trip went completely as described. There were fires around Sydney, but the winds made for miles of visibility in the Blue Mountains. The downside: those winds closed a couple walking trails along the route because of fire danger. The lunch was good and included good local beers and wines.
As advertised, with one small exception(smoke from the current Fires hindered our view of the beauty that is the Blue Mountains) Small group, excellent and knowledgeable Guide in our driver Ian.Highly recommend this tour..
This full day tour was well worth the time and price. Our tour guide, Rod, was very entertaining and treated us to some exciting views of the Blue Mountains. The Featherdale Wildlife Park was the best we visited in Australia.
well organized, excellent tour guide in a small comfortable mercedes sprinter van. Guide was excellent. No complaints and would highly recommend.
Excellent day trip visiting the Blue Mountains. Well planned and efficient use of time. We were ahead of the big buses, so we had few crowds. Amazing walk through the rain forest. I would highly recommend this tour.
Amazing day out. It was pretty foggy when we arrived and we couldn't see the three sisters, however because it was a small tour once the fog lifted the guide detoured and took us back to the viewing area. Our guide Lloyd was excellent, had a weather of knowledgeable, was passionate and you could tell he loves his job and making sure his people had the best experience. Would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a personalised experience in a small group.
Trip was awesome. Blue mountains were breathtaking. Lots of stops. Lots of scenery. Our guide, Rod did did an amazing job. He did great.
Amazing day, fabulous tour guide, Lloyd was brilliant. I had torn my calf muscle and he made sure I could still participate in everything and that I was able to keep up with the group. The rainforest was amazing and the visit to Featherdale was a dream, i got to get a photo with a Koala. That was the icing on the cake.
We were really lucky to see Blue mountain in the clouds. Scenic world is a must especially with kids. Wild life zoo and cruise was good too. Lloyd was a great tour guide and really trying to meet all our special requests. Great experience overall.
We had the great privilege of having a Rob as our Tour Guide and he was amazing. So friendly and professional, and knew everything his passengers wanted to know about the scenery around them. He had a clear agenda to follow to make sure we all had sufficient time at each stopping point, and we never felt rushed. Lunch was great. Rob explained what was about to happen, and made sure the group was where it should be. Scenic World itself was absolutely amazing! I could have stayed there all day long.
Awesome day out, spectacular views, the guide really knew his stuff, he made the day really special.
I’d definitely recommend this trip.
This was the most excellent side trip I have every been on. The scenery was breath taking, the guide was excellent and knew the area well. Everything was taken care of by the tour company including tickets to the events and meals. We had nine people on our small tour van. Much better than a 40 person bus. Would highly recommend this tour while in Sydney.
The tour was nicely organized. The guide Rod was more than friendly, just like a close friend. We are blessed to go with perfect weather, sunny and breeze. Blue mountain and three sisters are spectacular, and you cannot miss. We took a ferry on the way, which was really a great choice.
Please note that there are steps and thus it is not suitable for the elderly. I highly recommended this tour.
Great experience - the ability to see the Blue Mountains, visit a rain forrest and feed Kangaroos and meet a Kaola at Featherdale made for a complete day in a small gruoup of 14 that bonded on the trip. This proofed cost and time effective for independent travelers.
The Blue mountain day trip was very interesting. Rod, our guide was very informative, as well as very funny. As we reached the Three Sisters, the sky was covered in fog, so we were not able to see the view. However, as the day went on, the fog lifted and Rod took us to a different viewing point where we were able to take some nice pictures. A well worth doing tour.
A terrriffic day. We are only in Sydney for five days and this day trip was a way to get out of the city and see a tiny bit of the country. We loved the small group. Our amazing guide, Alecks, had us all at the scenic world attraction before the huge amounts of large buses arrived, so no waiting for the fun rides at Scenic World. Lunch was surprisingly good, our entire group agreed. Featherdale was definitely a highlight. Alecks was well organized, had a such a fun personality, kept us on schedule and was an excellent guide. He seemed to have an abundance of knowledge on all things Australia. We are so very glad we made this choice.
Our tour was wonderful, this even though the weather did not cooperate our driver Ian did everything possible to get us the best views possible. Everything was taken care of food, water taxi this tour is worth every penny. THANKS
The tour guide, Ian, was great and very knowledgeable. I loved visiting Featherdale and feeding the kangaroos and wallabies. I rated this 4 stars, instead of 5 stars, because the seats in the vehicle were really uncomfortable and we had to spend a lot of time in them.
We were met dead on time from our hotel at 6.45 am, so an early start ! The driver is also your guide and after a couple more pick ups we were driving out of the city. First stop was Echo Point where you can view the Three Sisters, however, we only had about 25 minutes, which was far too short. It was a case of out of the minibus, take your photos from the top, a quick toilet stop and then back in the minibus. There were loads of walking tracks around, but no time to go and explore.
Next stop was Scenic World, where it was in the cable car across to the other side, get off the other end, a very quick walk around a small part of the boardwalk, then on the railway, back up, a quick toilet stop and then back in the minibus. Our driver then took us to two lookouts, where a larger coach would not have been able to go, the Grande Canyon and Lincoln Point. Both beautiful and we'll worth the extra stops. But again only about 10-15 minutes at each.
Next came lunch which was nice and included a beer, a wine or a or soft drink. then it was off to the wildlife park, (which was more like a small zoo) nice, but again although we had just over an hour here, it was still very rushed. It was then onto the ferry stop to catch the 4pm ferry back to Circular Key ( this is the public ferry, not a chartered boat.).
I feel rather mean only giving this tour an average rating, as it was a very well organised, slick operation. But the day seemed so rushed and perhaps they just try to cram too much into the day. It gives you a taste of the blue mountains and we are glad we did it, but a transfer out to Echo Point and then three or four hours to walk the many tracks (one of which was sign posted to Scenic World) would have done us! I cannot fault the tour company. A very slick operation and they delivered what they say they will.
